I purchased these for a specific recipe. I am normally not a fan of whole sesame seeds because they don't taste like much and get stuck in my teeth. The shortbread recipe called for roasted sesame seeds and these were a better value than the local grocery store. It took about 6 months, but I finally made the dough last night. It smelled amazing - very sesame but very peanut-y at the same time even though it's just sesame seeds, sugar, salt, flour, and butter in the dough. Chilled over night and baked them today. More amazing smells and amazing flavor. They are not a cheep cookie to make as these seeds (and the butter) are fairly pricy, but so worth it for a treat! I have only had whole black sesame seeds before, I think, and tahini made from white sesame which is in hummus. I never noticed a flavor difference in the white and black seeds, but apparently the black are generally recommended for desserts/sweeter dishes. I agree from my one use. These were fresh, nutty, and the oils came out well when blitzed in the food processor as they should have. Will definitely buy again - even if still for this one recipe!

Excellant qualited. Roasted and crunchy and ready to be used. when you bite into it, you can taste the sesame flavor fragrance. It's so beautiful. I use it on my avocado spread and tastes heavenly!

Got these to make sushi and they are absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The best sesame seeds I’ve ever had for sure.

These were tasty on our salads. Fresh and smelled nice.

You get a huge amount for the price. I have started using them on a lot of different things. Toast with avocado and a medium cooked egg sprinkled with these sesame seeds delicious.
