The Great Gasbag: An A-to-Z Study Guide to Surviving Trump World Review: “The Great Gasbag”... funny, entertaining and disturbing... 5 Stars - “The Great Gasbag: An A-to-Z Study Guide to Surviving Trump World” by Joy Behar. This Kindle e-book was approximately 272 printed pages and sold for $12.99 at the time of writing this review. Joy Behar, co-host of the popular ABC TV talk show, “The View” is no fan of ‘The Donald’ and she pulls no punches in giving her opinion in this alphabetical list of Trumpian related zingers. But it’s not just Trump that get bombarded with some of her best lines but also the members of the Trump Whitehouse and both members of the Republican (mostly) and Democratic Parties. Funny, (laugh out loud funny at times) but always tempered by the fact that in many cases she hits on the deeper reality of the situation. Because in Ms. Behar’s witty view of the present day political climate, there is a underlying and disturbingly truthful current to many of the points she makes. Entertaining, funny and disturbing. As it is... 5 Stars. R. Nicholson Review: As fun and rewarding as I'd expected! - If you're unable to recognize from the title, cover photo, and author that this book is going to be sarcastic about you-know-who, and if you adoringly voted for him, then I suggest staying clear of this literary jewel so that its contents don't shock, offend, and spur you into leaving a negative review. This is a fabulous, hilarious, informative, unfortunately tragic account of the pathetic political pickle we're in today, in true Joy Behar style. I was laughing out loud and reading excerpts to my friends over the phone so we could howl together. I love her on The View, and I love her for writing this book. Thank you, Joy!

Joy to the World
Agent Orange. Hair Horror. Tiny Hands. God II. All here, and much more. And so are some of the Partners in Crime Time (generally in Joy’s words): Creepy Veepy, Freedom Caucus, Joe the Plumber, Fake University, the Anti-Christ of Education, the Jellyfish (I won't give this one away; check the book's entry), The Apprentice(s), Vladdy. (Man, seen way better acts at Ringling while they were still in effect). As well, Joy demonstrates her knowledge (or love?) of historical (hysterical?) entries within that side’s Hall of Shame: Reaganomics, Tricky Dick, Government Cheese (also look That one up), Iran/Iraq, Neo-Nazis, Guns (O Say Cannon See), Fracking, the Tea Party (not the one back in the day in the Bay in Boston), Alternative Facts, and Walls of all shapes and bigly sizes. With so much more; this book's 270-or-so pages are loaded, not one of those art-deals with just one entry per page and a lot of white space. Some Heroes and Heroines Joy mentions are: Meryl Streep, Robert DeNiro, Joe Biden, the Obamas (including Michele's “reprised” speech) Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein (these last 3 unceremoniously initiated into the tweet aviary), Rosie O'Donnell, etc. They analogize the side-suits in the game of Bridge, ultimately taking many more tricks than in the trump suit, making their slam contracts. This is the type of book with the potential of generating much nay-say, in turn generating its own curiousity yay-say, as already demonstrated here in Amazon's Review View. I predict this one will absorb as much flip and flop as, say the old Captain Beefheart album "Trout Mask Replica" wars of the earlier era of Amazon. My own yay-say is not so much curiosity, as rather aching sides from laughing after perusing entries from only a few letters of the alphabet. The stuff flies like shrapnel. Was well worth the wait (I pre-ordered it, something I don't do often). This would all be “uuuuugely” hilarious if it weren't sadly taking place in the world now, and Joy’s dictionary masterpiece also contains a special section (under "S" for "Sad") to remind us: examples of Great-Again’s "sad" infinite-um tweets, listed together. Caveat not-empty.

you hate Trump and will find this book very
This isn’t rocket science. If you lead a life still based in reality, you hate Trump and will find this book very, very funny. If you have invented your own reality unencumbered by facts, you probably love Trump, and you will hate this book. All reviews should be either five stars or one star. And you can bet the reviewers awarding one star have never been anywhere near this book. One warning to those who will like it, and you know who you are: the humor is very repetitive. You should not plan on reading it for four or five hours. Maybe you have a small room in your house where you spend 10 to 15 minutes once or twice a day. That would be an excellent place to leave this book for weeks of enjoyment. One more thing: if you are a liberal, you are probably horrified by fat shaming. If so, do not read the section on Chris Christie. You will be ashamed of yourself by how hard you laugh.

Not Really Funny
The book is full of sarcasm which Ms. Behar uses in her comedy act. I get sarcasm, but with political subjects, too much is close to or based on the truth. I Was expecting a laugh out loud read, but this was not it. The stuff going on in Washington right now, i s just not funny.

Joy, you nailed it
I loved this book. It's written by someone who is intelligent, and keeps educated on the problems happening today. It's witty, colorful and extremely funny. I laughed when I really feel like finding an uninhabited island and living there until this madness ends. Joy is right, we really need to laugh thru this craziness, until someone stands up and says, "this is not the way to run a country! I recommend a few hours to read this from beginning to end, before you take the Xanex 😂

I loved it!
Other than her poor opinion of all evangelical "born again" Christians and the Creator God whose main concern was for the poor, disenfranchised and outcasts of society, at the same time railing against - sadly mirroring the current situation - the self-serving, self-righteous, dishonest, avarice and hypocritical politicians, religious leaders and lawyers - I found Joy Behar to be refreshingly honest and a hilarious satirist and comedian! I highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good belly laugh and a great read! I loved it!
