I purchased the First Alert Fire Extinguisher FE1A10GR for our boat, and it gives me real peace of mind whenever we’re out on the water. The white finish looks clean and blends in nicely with the boat interior, which is a nice bonus compared to the typical bright red extinguishers. It feels solid and well-made, not cheap or flimsy. The metal pull pin and sturdy mounting bracket make it easy to secure in place, and installation was simple. I appreciate that it’s compact (14”) but still powerful enough for marine use. The pressure gauge is easy to read at a glance, so I can quickly check that it’s ready if needed. Thankfully, I haven’t had to use it, but knowing it’s there and Coast Guard compliant gives me confidence. If you need a dependable marine fire extinguisher that looks good and does the job, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Great size fire extinguisher and should always have at least one on hand, mounted and ready to go. I like to have them by the doors so if you are outside and you see something you don't get tempted to pass by a fire to grab an extinguisher. Note that these are 10BC units. There is no A rating. That doesn't mean it can't put out an A rated fire (papers, wood, etc), it just means it doesn't compare well with water and would not do as well as 1.25 gallons of water. If it had a 1A rating, that would mean it does the equivalent of 1.25 gallons of water. In this case it doesn't. It is designed for use in the garage or on a boat (it is rated for boat use).

The First Alert Fire Extinguisher | Marine Fire Extinguisher is seriously reliable—I tested it (safely!) and it puts out flames instantly. It’s solid, well-built, and gives real peace of mind knowing you have it on board. That said… learn from my mistake: don’t try to drill holes into your boat to mount it “just right” like I did. Let’s just say my DIY skills and boat hull didn’t mix well 😅. Mounted properly with the included hardware, it works perfectly and stays secure without any drama. If you want safety and reliability on the water, this extinguisher is a must-have—but leave the drilling to someone else! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
