Brilliant Gluten-Free Cooking & Baking - Fun & Informative
Going without is typical when you are on a gluten-free diet. BUT this cookery book has such interesting recipes for starters, soups, pasta & grain dishes, meat, poultry & fish, plus that area that is so difficult - brilliant recipes for bread, pastry & cakes with special help on flour mixes that suit specific recipes. It also gives a nutritional breakdown for each recipe, which is very helpful & advises how to eat healthily when you have to avoid gluten. If you bought one cookery book for gluten-free eating, this would be the one, as it is soooo comprehensive & attractively set out. Love it & it is well used!

I have not had this very long but what i have baked from it so far have all been very good. Crumble mix recipe is very handy which you can adapt to suit and so is the chocolate chip cookie recipe which my family enjoy. I do tend to cut down on the amount of sugar used and also the cooking times can be a bit out. I do not recommend cooking them for as long as it says, but just keep your eye on anything in the oven, but overall the book is very good with some great ideas and it was delivered quickly too.

Great for newly diagnosed and loads of recipes for old hats
Great book for those newly diagnosed with Coeliac disease or just gluten intolerant. Great value for money at price paid. Loads of recipes, a bit short of mains (,especially meat ones). Provides great GF bread and pasta recipes. Be aware that some use flours you will have never seen before. Really helpful intro section with tips on how to live GF lifestyle such as storing food, tips on raising child with allergy.

Excellent Book
This is the best Gluten Free cookbook I have ever seen. The descriptions of the flours that you can use instead of wheat and the problems of being gluten free are well covered. The actual recipes I have tried so far have all been very successful.I have never seen recipes for rough puff pastry or hot water crust in any other book and I have seen many. This book is all about what you can, not what you can't which is a very positive message for a very annoying condition.

Great recipes
I've been struggling when baking cakes & biscuits with gluten free ingredients for quite some time -the results for the recipes I found online were always poor (dry cakes, bread hard as rock, etc.). So far, all the recipes I tried from this book produced great results! Even the 'non-GF' members of the family are delighted. I am also a vegetarian and I found a good amount of vegetarian dishes as well. So I am really happy with this book!

Brilliant book
I was a little sceptical, but it's a brilliant book. Really informative, and pictures showing nearly all recipes. Plenty of reading too as it's a good thick book.ðð

Made our Christmas break with the family great and gluten- free fun this year as we tried some great recipes like the GF chocolate cake and blinis, which were a hit! Recipes are fabulous; ingredients mostly available on Amazon. We love it!

I love that there are some inventive recipes in this cookbook. Not things that you see in other GF cookbooks. I have tried the Masala Dosa. It was a lot of work, but very good. I just made the Indian Split pea soup (I added chicken) and my husband said that it is the best split pea soup he has ever had. I just made the puff pastry and made cheese puffs out of it. It wasn't as puffy as I would have expected, but still good for gluten free. Other reviewers have given poor reviews based on no recipe for gluten-free plain flour". I know that this can matter in recipes, but to be honest many times if I don't have time or feel like using the flour mix recommended I just use 2 cups rice flour, 2/3 cup potato starch and 1/3 cup tapioca flour. That is what is in my flour jar. It worked fine in the puff pastry and the weigh measurement given was perfect. I also have tried the brown bread and the lavosh. Those were good. I hope to try many more recipes. So many look great!!
