Comvita Unpasteurised Manuka Honey (UMF 15+, MGO 514+)

Firstly ignore the amazon description, this is UMF 15+ and it is 250g honey NOT lozenges. Secondly this is proper certified UMF non-GM Manuka honey. Not all Manuka honey is UMF and not all UMF Manuka honey is officially certified so check if you go on to purchase another product, but this one is the real deal. Taste: A bit like toffee (looks like it too) and also a bit like medicine/cough syrup, pleasant though and definitely fine just plain in 1 or 2 teaspoons daily. Spreading on a sandwich or green apples does the trick for me, occasionally stirring into tea or a hot lemon drink also works with great taste. Consistency: Thick at room temperature (20C) like peanut butter or nutella but you can warm it up slightly to make it easier to spread. Effect: Definitely helps with preventing a cold/flu getting worse or when recovering from them. Your cough will ease, as will healing from an infection or a cut. I haven't tried spreading it on an injury yet but I have noticed it has improved my digestion. Everyone knows honey is beneficial and I believe Manuka is even more so, definitely worth the investment if you will use it regularly but not for a one-off miracle.

Having repeat throat infections brought me to looking for a alternative to constant antibiotics. Being asthmatic I cant take inti-inflammatory so often suffer with swelling and sore throats, not to mention chest infections. Someone recommended I take this, and although I don't like honey I figured it was worth a try. I can honestly say I am very pleased and surprised with the results, as a preventative measure it has drastically reduced the amount of repeat infections I get, and as a "cure" for when I have an infection, I find it soothing and helps reduce the inflammation and the severity of the infection meaning the need for antibiotics is greatly reduced. Excellent for supporting those with low immunity and also suitable to take in many forms, (drink, spread, as it is, in cooking etc and as a topical cream) I am pleased with the comvita brand and have found the quality of the product consistent. I have tried other brands but feel much happier and more protected with the comvita, and with the amazon "repeat order" subscription system is cost effective and guarantees you are not left without I definitely recommend paying the extra for a product with a "UMF" rating as these seem to be the best regulated and more effective than the "active" honeys. If you are like me and don't like honey, don't be put off....I have it in a small glass of hot lemonade every morning and have found this the best way to take it.

The best honey I've ever tried, but it came with broken lid and had leaked. Poor packaging of an expensive product - this is unacceptable. For packing one star, for honey quality 5.

I absolutely love this brands manuka honey.. Its guaranteed best quality and tested..... Taste is fantastic... Most definitely worth taking especially in the colder months to boost your immune system.... Also fantastic if you're feeling ill or rundown... Nature's cure.... Highly recommended..... Update So good had to buy another tub... Will come in especially useful over the winter months... Truly a magnificent honey.... For your health and wellbeing....

PROS: UMF top grade manuka The taste is divine. Best honey ive had CONS: The price brings tears to my eyes IN CONCLUSION I bought this for my dog who is very poorly. I have had manuka for myself before and not liked the taste. I was giving it to my dog and without thinking licked my finger to get rid of excess honey. Well the poor dog hasn't had a look in since - well he has had to share. I have some every day and when combining the health benefits with the taste (think mana from heaven) I think the price is well justified. I will definitely be buying this again...and again ;)

So many Manuka Honey products claim to be 15+ when in reality the Honey is nowhere near that level. The Comvita brand is a trusted brand that delivers. I suffered with vestibular neuritis for nearly a year. After taking a tablespoon of this Honey a day for two weeks my condition cleared up completely. I continue to take a small teaspoon every night before bedtime. Not only does it help with sleep, I have had no signs of a cold or flu in 6 months and no more reoccurring symptoms of the vestibular neuritis. This is expensive but you get what you pay for.

After doing a lot of homework with regard to acid reflux and Manuka honey,and also already knowing the benefits of 'active' Manuka honey which is so good for many things externally and internally I sent for this for my very much loved little cat who is in the early stages of CRF. (Stomach acid is one of the big problems with this condition.) Thankfully cats can take honey with no adverse effects. I give her half a teaspoonful daily, (divided up, and diluted slightly) three times a day, and I can only say that within two weeks the improvement was very noticeable. Now after a month she's very much brighter, and I feel that the acid condition is being healed, rather than than just helped along with the anti acid medication from the vets. It's important to buy a UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) +15 for it to do any good medicinally. I'm now on the second pot, because I'm rather enjoying it myself too, lovely deep taste, and so good for you (and your pets)!

Omg!!!i had severe heartburn in the middle of the night and didnt want to go downstairs as i was being lazy...had a new bottle of honey that i hadnt opened yet sat in my bedroom, didnt want to share with family as there would be none left in no time!!lol...anyway scooped honey out with finger and ate it firstly the hearburn suddenly started to go and secondly the taste was AMAZING!! really delicious and not sickly sweet. I was really impressed i havent tasted honey quite like it before it actually was abit like caramel but better...you know what whilst writing this review my heartburn has gone!! I honestly suffer servere bouts of heartburn everyday but im shocked its gone!!and tomorrow i will be indulging this magic in a bottle in a hot drink.
