Great for baking
I was excited to try this flour for home baking using low glycaemic index, gluten free ingredients. It arrived very quickly. I have to say I was impressed with its raw flavour and texture - the flour is slightly nutty with no bitter after taste and is finely milled. It did very well with the first baking - I made a light and fluffy banana bread with carob and cinnamon which tasted great. Therefore I highly recommend this flour and will be buying it regularly from now on. It is competitively priced.

Very good buckwheat flour but needs bag improvement
This 3 kg buckwheat flour bag is very good value for a good quality buckwheat flour. It has been used for bread baking and preparing buckwheat crepes which all turned out very good. The only thing that could be improved is a different type of bag, one that can possibly zip once opened. The current bag, although very sturdy, had to be opened by cutting one corner to dispense the flour. This opening however needs to be securely rolled and clipped then placed in another bag to prevent flour spillage which proved difficult due to the weight of the bag.

COELIACS BEWARE
An otherwise excellent product, BUT; answered questions said this is gluten free. OK for some diets, but coeliac sufferers please see the photo. It has the usual disclaimer of "may contain traces of nuts, sesame, cereals containing gluten and soya".

Sea of unusable plastic packaging :(
Standard buckwheat flour, however I was extremely disappointed with the packaging. 2kg’s came in an unnecessarily massive plastic bag, about 50cm wide that could have held 30kg of flour. Totally useless, will have to decant. Horrible waste of plastic, please rethink. I wanted a little bag of flour NOT A PLASTIC TENT!
