Worth it - see review for automatic sensor with no additional wiring
Update - I bought this back in 2017, and it's been in constant use ever since. It's all still working flawlessly, so there's no worries about it lasting.I bought this along with a sensor (see link at bottom of review), so the light now turns on automatically when it detects someone. The best part about this is that it fits the connections between the adaptor and lights - meaning you don't have to strip wires or do anything remotely difficult. This is really handy for the kitchen, where I have put the lights under the cupboards, and they are quite strong so the setup id perfect for someone just wanting to go in do something quick, like make a drink. With the sensor, you can set the time they stay on up to 5 or 6 minutes. It's a bit fiddly, but worth the effort, since it negates the need for positioning the switch somewhere accessible. The pack itself is very very good, and in particular the fact it gives you 4 of both the short and long connectors means it's really versatile. The only thing I cannot comment on is how long they last, but if its any sort of decent LED that should be a long time. I've only used 3 tubes, as I didn't have room for the 4th and may use it on the end of another kit.The seller should consider including the sensor as part of another kit, it works so well. Easy to fit and brilliant to see - but one lead had faulty connection
My mum's kitchen makes those Back in Time for Tea programmes look like super high tech - well, once into the 80s and 90s and beyond. We have strip lights but they send the meter into over drive and are now obsolete - along with much of the rest of the kitchen. Until we can afford a redesign - finally get a plumbed in washing machine, oh joy, rather than a twin tub and a gas cooker suitable for modern regulations etc! - we improvise. This is one such. They run parallel with the obsolete light strips, cast out more light, are more economic, easy to fit (don't faff about with the little adhesive strips supplied, get some double sided sticky tape which is far better.. once you unglue yourself from the cabinet) and look much better. Easy to get the ends on too, I'd have opted for a few more shorter leads rather than the really long ones supplied - used two to bridge the gap under the cupboards. However, one of the longer leads faulty, too.

Cool Bright Light
These were far easier to put up than I expected them to be. Make sure your surface is clean and dry and hold in place for a few seconds and they're up! I have mine under two cupboards. One set towards the back and the other nearer the front. There was enough leads to have gone around the other side of the kitchen so I have taped it to the underside of the cupboard, out of sight. They give off cool bright white light, just what I needed in my old Victorian terrace kitchen. The ceiling light is high up but a newer part of the ceiling casts a shadow onto my worktops. These lights have solved that problem. I wish I had found them years ago!I have them on a plug-in timer in the socket. They run when I need them to be on. It gives the kitchen enough light to do basic jobs without having the have the top light on but I wouldn't cook with just these lights.I have recommend them to others and insisted my fiance gets them for his place too. Well worth the price and easy to put up. Perfect.

Smart and bright
In most cases the light is bright enough to replace the main kitchen light which is great for making a cup of tea.I have replaced the on/off switch with a motion sensor ..MaddoxStore 1 X IR Motion Sensor Light SwitchThis was a simple case of opening the switch and cut the wires off. The positive wire from the junction box, with a black line, screws into the load terminal. The positive wire from the mains transformer screws into the live terminal and the other two neutral wires screw into the neutral terminal. The sensor can mount under the cabinet out of sight and will still sense someone's legs when they walk into the kitchen. Not only is this saving energy but also great not having to try flick a switch with a cup of tea in each hand. The sensor is adjusted to come on only when it is dark.I do not sell these sensors and only wish to help and provide ideas. The only gripe I have with installing these lights was a couple of the joining wires did not fit the terminals very well and needed forced in, one terminal does not go in at all so is hanging on but still works.

Bright Inexpensive lighting option.
Connecting the lights using the wires can be a little fiddly but if you take your time and be firm all should be Ok.The adhesive pads are not fantastic thus I used the provided plastic brackets to affix them to the underside of my kitchen wall units.Use one of the provided screws to create a pilot hole which will make it easier to screw the bracket into place. The provided wires are very long so they'll stretch across most spaces and the kit comes with a smaller connectors if you simply wish to connect them all together to span a run of wall units etc.The lights are bright enough to replace using the strip light in my kitchen.Once I'd connected them up I turned them On to test before affixing them. How will they last ? You could say that about a light bulb ! Who knows but at that price of £20 I'm not concerned.I'm now contemplating buying a sensor to take the place of switching it Off and On.
