Perfect if you don’t plan to breed roaches but a few issues if you do.
I’ve been breeding my feeder dubia roaches for a few years now so was excited to try this live food storage bin out and it seems like a really effective way to keep them… but had several flaws if you want to breed. The bin itself is made from study plastic and thinks of everything. There’s areas for them to climb up and corners for them to pile. The food and water dish stays in place with small magnets and there’s no holes or places they can escape from. There is a flap that covers the food dish when you pull it out, but I’ve actually removed that because it covers the food dishes and instead I top up the food and water via the main lid and once a week I place the flap back in place to remove the dish to clean it. The lid has slits for ventilation but only on one side so there is more darkness to hide in on the other side during the day. The base has holes to catch any waste through and a base tray can be removed for easy cleaning. It also comes with a dropper to add water easily, two types of tongs and spare water sponges which is a nice added bonus. The issue I have when it comes to breeding are the fact that it’s almost fully dark all day and night meaning there won’t be a clear day/night cycle which can effect breeding. There’s also no way of adding substrate which causes two issues. Firstly it’s much harder to keep the humidity up to the 40%-60% needed for breeding without a substrate to keep moist. And thirdly the young dubia all seem to prefer to burrow and hide in substrate but in this tub they have no real hiding places other than under other roaches which is going to cause them stress till they’re bigger and feel more safe out in the open. Both those issues though are only going to effect you if you breed, if you don’t then this is a perfectly acceptable way to keep your feeders. It makes life easier and is much easier to get out the ones you need each feed and for that purpose I definitely recommend it. If you breed you may wish to think about some of the issues you could have with it. I’ll likely end up using this more for small hoppers that I don’t breed but buy in every now and then.

Not as good as expected
I used this to keep bugs in for my leopard geckos. The idea is brilliant but the food tray isn't the best thing because smaller bugs can escape through the gaps. I tried meal worm in the bottom but the escaped into the emptying tray at the bottom so all in all not ideal for keeping bugs for my geckos. It's large enough and it's a good idea just a few bits I found didn't work for me.

Child-friendly reptile keeper
This keeper makes it easy and safe to store and keep reptiles without having physical contact with them. The NEPTONION live insect feeder is ideal for both reptile enthusiasts and insect fears. It provides the insects with a more comfortable environment inside the basin. This can also be a food compartment in feeding without ever having to touch them. The hatch is fastened with a strong magnet and automatically closes when removed. It has two recesses for croutons and a sponge for water. This manages the insect's dirt by shaking out the bug dirt via the sifter by simply twisting off the bottom pallet, making it so simple to throw away. Except for mealworms, this product provides a more comfortable space for insects such as a silkworm, cricket, dubia roach, and super worms. Although. It's not large enough to house an entire colony, but it's just right for the ones being fed in a short period. This is a great size for people who don't need a lot of feeders and only need enough for a week or two. Overall, this is a child-friendly, well-designed product that is a great addition to reptile devices. Pet owners of these reptiles can now feed them without using tweezers or their actual hands. This is also strong and non-slip. A tight-fitting rubber bung prevents escapees, and cleaning becomes simple. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Not great.
Not great. Can’t pull the food tray out without pulling out a load of crickets! Not worth it.

Nicely made. The sections go together well. A clever design. Handle gives good control.
The whole thing seems well made to me. The plastic mouldings are accurate and very tidy. All the parts mate neatly including the automatically closing door which closes when the feed/water tray is removed. I like the design. The handle is well placed and shaped and gives good control of the vessel. This means that the insects can be shaken down to allow the top to be removed. The top is easy to take off and replace whilst not being over lose. There is a mark to assist wit speedy replacement. The top is not over prone to getting ‘cross threaded’ which helps as you don’t want to hang about. The bottom is similarly easy to get off and on. The ends are not on a single thread with a single start point but located by a number of short sections of thread. This makes the procedure easy and less fussy. Good. The seal (I’d call it a stopper actually) is nicely made and goes in easily but positively. The orifice is large enough to facilitate ‘pouring’ a bug. The handle is placed well to allow this. Three pieces of foam shaped to fit the curved end section of the water/feed tray are supplied. That’s two spare ones before you’ve got to start improvising! It’s an attractive object to look at for what it is. I like the colour scheme. I haven’t tried breaking it but my impression of the plastic of the body is that it doesn’t seem overly brittle yet is adequately rigid. Nice. I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.

Mes criquets y vivent tres longtemps.

We just got a bearded dragon pet and i bought this for 38.99. And we found this really helpful for keeping our crickets. Whether it's feeding or cleaning (and having them not jump out), I found this really helpful and helps to keep them healthy and alive for longer.

I've been feeding crickets to my tarantulas for years, and despite trying lots of different ways to keep the crickets alive in regular cricket keepers, about half of them would always die in a stinky mess. It was a waste of time and money, and the smell was terrible. I was skeptical about the Neptonion keeper, but I was willing to try anything. And I'm so glad I did! I left out the middle baffle and placed the crickets' egg carton material between the other two baffles. I don't use the shaker feature but instead prefer to open the top and remove crickets as needed. And nearly 4 weeks after filling the keeper with crickets, I was able to feed the last of them—still healthy—to my spiders!! Only a couple died the whole time. I've NEVER been able to keep crickets alive and healthy that long, AND the keeper wasn't reaking of cricket grossness! I love the feeding tray (though the crickets do eat a bit of the sponge), the way the vertical orientation keeps insects off the floor of the keeper, and the "poop trap" that keeps it relatively clean and MUCH better smelling. I'm a better tarantula owner now because I have healthier feeders that I don't have to buy as often. I love this thing!
