SeeKay - Sweet Pea - Mammoth Mixed - appx 230 Seeds - Lathyrus

I got some sweet pea seeds because my dad used to grow them in our back garden when I was a boy. These did not disappoint at all. Over 80% success rate for germination - plants are sturdy and flowers are large, multi-coloured and fragrant. There many more seeds than you'd want to plant in a season, so I'm hoping that the ones that weren't planted will winter well and be ready to germinate in 2021. If they don't, then no problem - I wouldn't feel jipped, because the one's that have come out have been well worth the money spent on the seeds. A quick note: as with other reviewers, follow the guidance on the wee packet that arrives through the post and soak them overnight before planting. I even soaked mine in some liquid plant food to help things along - not sure if it made a difference, but my sweet peas have turned out robust and vigorous. My dad would have been pleased :o)

Cant give full review as there only just sprouting at the moment but nice lot of seeds hope they will look like the picture good value sprouted very fast if u follow instructions,not flowering as yet

OK, I planted about 30 pieces of seeds at the end of May, and I believe (since I did not count seriously when I first started planting) that every single seed germinated. Now this is about the third week the seeds are growing, and with the day-time temperature rising to over 20 C already, the shoots are doing extremely well. Fair enough, I still have to see the flowers when they actually come. But at least I must say that from the point of view of the quality of the seeds, I am absolutely satisfied. Thank you!

Most seeds took. Too small to flower yet but looking good so far.

I cannot express how well these have grown. Planted them in pots in my greenhouse and they have grown so, so well. They are now planted outside, growing up and feeding through a sweet pea net. They have began to flower (I will post a picture when I can). Loads of people are also commenting on how great they look and how lovely it is to see sweet peas! Thanks!

Ordered these last year didn’t use them . However this year I did ! What a mistake wasted good compost . They looked to be strong plants but definitely not sweet pea , small flowers no smell , producing pods now which look like ordinary peas but given the possibility of coming from China Hong Kong or similar will not be planing on eating any time soon . The packet they came in was a clear packet large seeds no instructions just sweet pea written on the packet. Lesson learnt !!!

These sweet pea seeds were fantastic. I germinated them by putting them in very warm water, then laying them on warm wet kitchen roll near the window. I potted them once they had sprouted and put them in my pop upngreenhouse. I planted them in my raised beds and pots when they were still quite small. I was rewarded with an amazing display of pink, white and purple sweet peas that flowered from May to August, when they sadly fried in the heat! I would recommend these seeds. 5 *****
