Suitable for my granddaughters ideas for fashion design.

A wonderful book. I bought it for my 13 year old grand daughter. Lots of information about Fashion Design and the specific structure of designing garments. A sound, step by step approach without being boring. Would suit possibly up to A level .

I bought this as a 13th birthday present. The book is probably pitched at a slightly higher level. Probably better as a present a year or two later. Regardless, I think she will return to this book in the near future as she is a reader and has an interest in art and clothes. There is a brief section in the book on sketching up a fashion model - from blank page to a finished clothed model. I would have preferred more of this. However, our recipient seemed genuinely pleased with the book and appeared eager to read it. The book is well presented. Would also suit a young adult.

This book is amazing. It has everything you need to know and more.

Habe es für meine 11 jährige Tochter gekauft, die gerne Mode entwerfen wollte und sich ständig diese geschmacklosen Topmodellblöcke gekauft hatte. Jetzt ist sie begeistert und sagt dass sie nicht wusste, dass es auch anderes gibt. Das Buch enthält viele Beschreibungen wie man loslegen und welche Überlegungen man beim Zeichnen haben könnte, als Vorlage für Figuren habe ich ihr einen Block (Gerties new Fashion Sketchbook) gekauft, bei dem diese leicht auf leeren Blättern angedeutet sind.
