Wahl Balding Hair Clipper | Precision Balding & Fading Tool with V5000 Motor

I had been planning on buying some balding clippers for a couple of years but kept getting put off by the reviews from people saying the clippers had shredded their heads! I finally bought the Wahl balding clippers and was a bit nervous about using them because of those bad reviews.The clippers arrived quickly, in cardboard packaging with minimal plastic. They look and feel well made as expected from Wahl. The power chord is nice and long. Brushes, oil and a couple of attachments included for longer cutting lengths.The clippers provide a nice, close shave with minimal effort. I don't understand how people cut themselves with these. Don't expect a wet shave finish or you will be disappointed. These clippers provide the closest possible shave from a pair of clippers. If you want a closer finish you will need to wet shave your head. I usually cut my hair at least once a week and I am very pleased with these clippers.

Great balding clippers, not too noisy and not heavy. Good power. Works very well on the hair. Nice size and length. Doesn't pull. Highly recommend.

If you're anything like me. Been cutting my own hair for decades, yes, decades. Then I'm sure you've gone through several hair clippers in your time.Besides one time where I briefly tried another brand, I've always owned and trusted WAHL.That said. It's always been a hit or a miss with me if they last 3-4 years, or 3-4 months before mysteriously dying for no apparent reason.I should add. DO NOT even think about buying cordless. Sounds great in theory. But they are completely useless. Takes literally 1 full day to charge and 5 mins to drain.Previously, I owned 'bald fader'. These i thought would be the closest and best short cut I could achieve. But I was wrong. It was also a bonus if you finished your haircut and still had 2 remaining ears. Those were lethal!That brings me to these. The WAHL Balding Clippers.These are amazing! Ridiculously SHORT cut and no fear whatsoever of losing an ear. Even if your fingers get too close to the blades. You'll still have all your digits.The cut is phenomenal. You literally couldn't get any shorter with clippers than these.I must say though. They are REALLY heavy. Would be nice if they could make a more grip outer to them. But I really cannot fault them at all. Even the length of cable is HUGE.Cannot recommend these enough.I just hope they last.

This is probably the best clippers I have ever used for a close cut. NOT bald as the name implies claims but as close as a clipper will go.Use it on my face and neck also to trim beard and, as long as I am VERY careful and go slowly, it gives a lovely trim (with attachment for goatee trim).On neck/face and on head I have to go slowly (much more so than with ANY other clippers) to ensure I do not cut skin. It's all about the angle of approach and the direction of hair growth.That is why I have not given it 5 stars... I have to go slower than with any other clipper or I would cut my neck/face/head.However, that is the only issue. It works great and keeping a little oil on the blades helps.

The shaver I received already had hair in the clipper blades! So was obviously a returned item by someone else. I’m not happy at all.The shaver seems good quality tho.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this is worth it.I bought my first set of these clippers in 2011, ten years later I have just replaced them.As a bit of a gym freak (albeit a hairy one), I use these atleast weekly for my upper body and head; they’re brilliant.Obviously a razor would be smoother, but these take the hair down to what would be similar to 12 hours after using a razor.They’re quiet, sturdy and like mentioned; have survived 10 years including multiple visits to Greece, Eastern Europe, Canada, Afghanistan etc.So I’ll buy another pair in 2031 I guess!

I thought my previous clipper was great.This one blows it out of the water. It's impossible to get closer shave without a razor. Quality of the product especially for the price which is ridiculous considering the performance. People mentioned cuts. All I've experienced on my first shave was the blades getting stuck on my skin in two places on my head so I had to back out and angle the clippers slightly differently to go over them bits.The blades never cut through my skin which isn't that thick at all. I'm only 29. Since than I've used it 3 more times. No trouble whatsoever. It cuts so close that it leaves you with (extremely) gentle razor shave like stinging feeling. If there is anything to complain about is the weight. It's heavy for the type of product but that only makes it feel more quality. Nevertheless if you shave your own head without any assistance it might be tiring. Because of it's lawnmower like performance it never takes too long to do the job though. I imagine they would have to make it out of titanium or something similar to match the quality but reduce the weight and that would certainly increase the price. Can't review on attachment's because I don't grow my hair long enough to use them.

I've had a set of Wahl clippers for about 20 years but as I've become balder, I want my hair even shorter, which my old clippers wouldn't give me. After dithering on these due to the price, I finally bought a set of Wahl Balding clippers and I'm delighted with them.Sturdy build, very similar (even heavier perhaps?) to my 20 year old Wahls and a precise, barely there hair length trim. Very easy to use, and despite them feeling sharp to the touch, I've not grazed or stabbed myself at all.Highly recommended if you want that super short cut without having to get there from 'fully shaved a couple of days ago'.
