I was given one of these as a gift last year and noticed that it can be paired with another to provide a better stereo output. More on that in a second. On its own this speaker is excellent: the sound quality is great, it’s robust, easy to connect and the battery lasts for ages. It certainly punches well above its weight; it is a stocky little speaker, but that’s no bad thing given the resultant sound, including surprisingly deep bass even at higher volumes. It’s been a great accompaniment to cooking, camping trips, shower/bath time and dinner time. Even on its own the quality of stereo is impressive. However, when paired with another (and it must be the same type of speaker) the sound gets even better, filling a room with high-quality stereo audio. A great piece of kit at a very good price.

First of all I'm not an audiophile just a music lover and as a music lover I can assure you this thing is great. I actually bought this for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it. I previous owned a UE Boom 2 which I upgraded to the UE Megaboom 3. The Wonderboom doesn't sound as good as the Megaboom 3 but when you take into consideration the size and price difference it's easy to understand why. For such a small speaker the sound is very loud, it's rich and it packs some bass. The bass is not room shaking however it is clean and not muddy. The mids are also for it's size relatively crisp and clear. It's good enough to use it outside when having a barbecue. For a music lover like me who likes to listen to music whilst cooking, drawing, in the shower, this thing is great you can take it around with you. It's not too big and not too heavy making it very portable. Overall the Wonderboom 3 is great, the battery life is very good, lasting around 8-10 hours depending on how loud you use it. Excellent connectivity with a bluetooth range of around 100 feet. I love it's simple design and I think it looks quite nice and stylish. It's got excellent build quality, quite robust, strong and durable. Whilst the Wonderboom is great, there are a few things that would've made this bluetooth speaker absolutely perfect for me. For one I wish it had a mic/speaker phone function like was on the UE boom 2, it was quite handy being able to take a call and talk on the bluetooth speaker. I wish it had an audio jack for wired connectivity, the only way to connect to the speaker is via bluetooth. Finally it would've been great if the charging cable was usb type c. However in spite of all this, it's still 5 stars from me, it's an excellent product for what it is and it is extremely good value for money (especially on sale). I highly recommend it. Amazing! Had one delivered today to try out before deciding if we had to go for a full sound system to deal with the large size and outbuildings at our home and have ordered a second one straight away. Sound quality is excellent, volume is loud. We put it on full volume in a closed barn and walked away a good hundred feet and the connectivity stayed and I could still hear it, not loud through the walks and door but still there so that was quite an extreme test. You can pair two speakers to the same source so this will give us consistent content over the whole area with no wires and set up hassle. Inside the large stone barn (100' X 20') we believe 1 will easily provide all the volume we need for a party. The sound is from all round the speaker so a central location deals with large areas much better than wall mounted directional sound. Excellent value for money and great quality.

This was bought as a gift and it was very, very well received. The sound quality is fantastic for something so small and reasonably-priced, it's surprisingly loud, clearly very durable, well-made and the design is cool. There isn't much functionality, it's very basic stuff, but it does the job. Excellent battery life. My one and only criticism is that it lacks any indication of the remaining battery level; I have the (more expensive) Boom 3 which literally speaks the battery level to you when you hold down the volume buttons, or you can see it on the Ultimate Ears app, but the Wonderboom isn't compatible with the app and doesn't have the spoken volume feature. Still, at this price and with the long better life it's no great loss.

I bought this to replace our CD player which had packed in. As we're limited to the amount of sockets around the house I wanted a wireless speaker which was battery operated and which I could pair with our computer and my phone. I admit to being a technological numpty so it was a voyage of discovery but once I'd managed to get all our CDs into our music library on the computer using i Tunes and then syncing my phone we were up and running. The speaker is very easy to pair. I've got it paired with the computer and the phone and I believe there's capacity for pairing several more devices. It means I can now listen to not only music but also to radio programmes. I can't make any knowledgeable comments about the sound but everything sounds a whole lot better than when using my CD player. The bass is certainly deep. Although I'm delighted with the machine, the lack of instructions is not good. They supply health and safety warnings in a multitude of languages but no actual instructions apart from a very simplistic illustration in the box. I needed to Google 'Wonderboom user manual' which was more helpful but even then it still leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted to find out more about charging the battery but there was no information as to how I could tell when - a:- it was actually charging and b:- how I'd know when it had been completely charged. I had to guess that when the light for the on switch started to flash slowly it meant that it was charging and presumably it will stop flashing when it's fully charged. I couldn't wait that long to see. All in all however I'm more than happy.

You want a portable speaker that gives great value, great sound and looks good. It also needs to be easy to use, intuitive and portable, right. This speaker is great but. The charging point is super fiddly to the point of annoyance, it has no indicator of charge remaining and because of it's shape it doesn't pack well for me. That's my issue it's just too fat for my pack. I travel, take part in extreme sports and my luxury is music. A dynamic pack of essential kit is of utmost importance. However it is extremely bloody awesome. I believe, further reading required by you. That it can be linked with other speakers. Great for around the house and if you're a leisure traveller. Its great value and feels indestructible. I would utterly recommend as a good buy.

Great little item For £40 I'm not expecting perfect audio but it definitely sounds good enough and is fit for purpose The thunderous bass claim on UE's advert is a stretch but you have to remember the size of this in terms of its ability to really pump out those lows It's got bass to it but in line with what you're expecting from size and price range My views come from taking into account size and price but the sound is decent. It's not sonos quality but you shouldn't expect it to be This is small, highly portable and hugely durable - it fits a certain purpose and fills that well Well worth a buy, especially for £40 in black Friday

The item arrived and I was so excited as it comes in a lovely sleek black box with general use and maintenance warnings and a link to visit the website for user setup instructions. It also comes with a USB charger note: will need a plug to connect the USB to the power. My iPhone plug was used for this. It required one press of a button to turn it on and one press to make it discoverable to my phone via Bluetooth and that's it. You can control the music coming out of the speaker using your iPhone or there is a button at the top to skip songs. I also didn't realise that the plus and minus design (I thought it was a pretty picture) - are actually volume controls. The volume and bass are amazing and this is very loud for such a small speaker. I've not even tried maximum volume for fear my neighbours will hear my music. This is better than some very expensive 3D speakers. As it's waterproof I had no issues taking it into my hot tub spa as it's difficult to hear any music when the bubbles are on- so this is perfect. It arrived quickly and at first it may seem pricey for a speaker- but it is well worth the money. I just wish I'd got one earlier!
