I already had a PIR porch light next to our door but it eventually broke due to years of UV attacking the sensor that crumbled like an eggshell once touched. Hope this light is sturdier. Feels like it will be much better fingers crossed. If you're not going to install yourself, then skip this review as any self respecting electrician will have this up in an instant. If he is struggling, - sack him. For those who are self installing - ensure you have a feed from your lights circuit to this device. I did. 1. First impressions. Did Amazon send me the wrong light? I ordered a light with adjustment to Lux, Distance and timer. I see nothing like that on this. Secondly it said you have 3 light colours to choose from. I see nothing like that on this. Hold your horses before you send it back. The manual is a manual on how to connect wires. Nothing more than that. Throw it away. What you're really looking for is not really in the manual, at least when I gave it a cursory glance. 2. Finding The Settings. After starting to install the lamp to my wall I was still mithering about the settings. Was it some new AI that read your mind on how you want it to behave? There's absolutely no little micro pots at all apparent on this device. That's when I revealed then while I was fumbling with the lamp a screwdriver in my mouth and a drill in my other hand I caught the sensor with my finger accidentally and lo and behold the sensor has a little plastic cover rather like an eyelid. What you want to do is get your thumbnail and pull that 'eyelid' down toward the ground and there it exposes the 3 micro pots that allow you to adjust the settings. Purely by accident I found this though. So OK.That's good but what about these different colour temperatures that the light boasted?. Again nothing in the 'manual' but if you unscrew the top and bottom of the light to expose the GU10 bulbs and then remove them, there on the side of the bulb itself is a 3 way switch. It's on the case of the GU10. Sneaky eh? What's good about this is that you can mess around until you find the right light colour for you with the 'up' and 'down' bulbs. I don't know how much these 'multishade' bulbs cost if you want to replace them but now I know want I want I can just buy some cheap ones in a single colour if and when they expire. 2. Installation. Pretty straightforward actually. Ensure of course all your wires are protruding from your wall and no connector blocks are proud of your wall. The unit will not take the connectors in it's base. The anchor plate is actually a box. I cut the tails of the LNE out a little too short on my first attempt. I could not get them to reach the terminal block in the lamp itself as the backplate is actually a box, and the connecter block in the lamp cannot be removed. You will try forever to clear the sides of the box as you try to marry up the lamp with the box. Easy fix. Remove box and tails from the wall. Do new tails (outer sheath stripped) 5" long out of the wall. Install box again, connect to lamp blocks. **THIS** push card between box and wall where the not 'captive' bolts of the box fix the lamp onto the box in case you don't have the bolts long enough to screw the lamp on. Don't lose the little rubber seals when before you put each nut on. Finger the nuts on, remove card, finish with an 8mm spanner or pair of pliers. Also be aware the 2 lenses. One is male, 1 is female. Both have seals obviously as they are exposed to the elements. One of those seals will ping off like a rubber band aimed at a fly when you first start taking it all apart in your kitchen or wherever. Go find it before you put the whole thing back together. Other than that, it's a great light I would have knocked one star off about the manual but it's being a bit pedantic. 4.5 stars let's hope it lasts the distance.

As many of the other reviews say, fiddly to fit as cable management is poor. But if you can get them all in, the light looks great and seems to be of good quality. Light is clear and bright, different settings available for different uses. Sensor for movement is odd and sometimes a bit random. Sets off when a car drives past 25 feet away, but doesn't come on when I'm on the doorstep 2 feet away as I approached it from side on. But overall, for the price, looks good, seems to be of good quality and does sense most movement.

Easy to install, works well. The bulb has three options by hard switch on the bulb -- Cool white, Warm white and intermediate - this fact is not mentioned anywhere on box or leaflet; but it works well. PIR working fine but again no instructions how to change from PIR to continuous. overall happy but one star less due to lack of sufficient operating instructions

Easy to fit works well and looks great, controls for the adjustment of time, sensitivity etc neatly placed under the moveable cover on the sensor. Came complete with bulbs that have 3 light setting on them which is a big bonus. Newly fitted so cannot comment on longevity but my hopes are high based on the quality of unit itself.

Ich etwas skeptisch, da 7W und mind 500 lm eine echte Ansage ist. Sind richtig schön hell und homogen. Farbumschaltung funktioniert einwandfrei. Wer es richtig hell haben will und Sicht im Farbort noch nicht sicher ist, hat hier ein gutes Produkt.

Schnelle Montage und macht ein schönes, helles Licht im Eingangsbereich. Der Sensor funktioniert auch einwandfrei.

Leichte Instalation, sehen sehr gut und hochwertig aus (kein Plastik) und sehr gute Leuchtkraft
