Perfect size for readability, plus it looks great and more expensive than it is. Bought as a gift and it was very happily received!

Nice globe and semi circular metal stand. Wooden part of stand is not antique looking. More like an eighties style copy mahogany. Would have preferred oak style. However overall it looks stylish. I will be altering the base for personal preference. 25cm is a pretty good size. The 35cm may be a large in an average living room. Good detail of countries which is why you buy a globe anyway.

This globe has really nice details, and the size was ideal for what we wanted, it feels really well made, and we are really pleased with it.

I had a small globe as a child and was fascinated by all the countries; their different sizes; the distances: the tropics and how it helped me to learn about the seasons, International Dateline and our place in the heavens. Now I want to give my grandchildren the same opportunity. This globe (25cm) is a good size; it's readable and looks a lot more expensive for the price. It's well put together and should last years with sensible care. It is also accurate and up-to-date in that it includes South Sudan, and Samoa is correctly located WEST of the International Dateline (which occurred in 2011). It's also an eye-catching decorative piece. My wooden base was fault-free but was a lighter-coloured wood than in the photos - it's actually the same colour as the base shown in the photos of the 30cm globe. Great value for money, excellent service, fast delivery and wholeheartedly recommended.

This is about 5 to 6 times the price of its 5-inch diameter counterpart, which makes a statement but the 5-inch globe is not as impressive as a 10-inch globe. We all know that the volume of a globe is the cube of the radius. The metal holder and wood base are impressive enhancements to the globe. I have a 12-inch globe which looks a bit large and is more for a living room. The colours are warm and the oceans are yellowish brown, not blue. This 10-inch is worth the price.
