Great- understand how they work before you complain
As all other pheromone traps- these work by attracting the male moth only to break the cycle. Therefore yes, if you see a moth fly past it is likely a female moth. They work incredibly well. I also find (as with all of these type strips) if you use one quick swoop when unpeeling the backing they are easy to peel off. If you try to peel the backing off too slowly, it gets quickly stuck to itself and then seems hard to peel off. This is not a fault with the strip it is because you are being slow at peeling the backing off. The strip is doing its job and being sticky!I have become an expert over the years in waging wars against clothes moths due to many moth battles in different living arrangements. I own a lot of wool and natural fibre clothing and like period properties :) if you really want to get rid of all your moths, combine a load of these strips with the acana lavender spray and if you got a real bad infestation you may also want to do a few napthalene moth balls just to hit them hard and fast. You should also freeze (pop in the freezer for 24hours) or steam or even dry clean any item of clothing you think has eggs in (for example a charity shop purchase). Freezing or steaming also kills both moths and their eggs.FYI the wooden balls that you put in drawers do nothing against moths. The little bags of dried lavender in amongst your clothes will help keep them at bay but can’t solve anything on their own. Hope this helps someone!

Best traps I’ve used!
I used this brand 2 years ago with great results. Last year I used another brand and had a flare up of moths this year. A rival brand I bought didn’t seem to catch anything and so I scrolled back through my amazon purchases to remind me what ones worked. I bought them again, and they’ve amassed a large number of moths already and they’ve only been up 2 days. This picture was just the nearest traps I’m sat by, but the ones upstairs where I have more of an issue, they’re nearly full already. Literally cannot recommend this bran enough. Even though these are refills, you don’t need to buy the whole trap frame unless you particularly need them to be hanging. I just lie them flat, in places where there’s not great ventilation, ie: behind furniture, behind my bed etc and they work amazingly!

They worked immediately!
It worked! Moths stuck on within the hour.Giving 4stars as there are no instructions, how long are these effective for? even if no moths, how long do you leave them for? the ones with moths on them, do you leave or discard? ???

Sticky, tricky.. handle with care!
Have bought these before and they were excellent; easy to use and effective. But this time I have been far less impressed. The peel-off backing paper was really difficult to remove as the adhesive was so strong and when it finally came off I ended up with the sticky pheromone stuff all over my fingers! This took ages to wash off, it was a nightmare! I wanted to make sure I washed it all off thoroughly in case I rubbed any onto my clothes as that would just defeat the purpose really... Let's hope the pads are as effective as last time at least.

They Work
Last year discovered we had a moth problem. This product definitely works attracting the male moth and this year they appeared in much smaller numbers. To be on the safe side I ordered more traps and again placed them in all my cupboards, so far so good. If you are unfortunate enough to get moths I think you have to use everything you can lay your hands on, i.e. sprays and traps to get rid of them, but these traps definitely work, each year I will order more to prevent these horrid creatures munching through my cashmere sweaters. The traps come very quickly after placing my order so will definitely use this seller again.

Good luck trying to erradicate moth problem - so far this works for me.
The traps assembled are about the size of a small mobile telephone and are clear plastic which means they can be hidden under sofas and in corners. The pads slide into the trap and are activated by removing the plastic film on top. Apparently the pheramone traps only attract the male and as it is the female which lays the eggs a moth stop spray must be used to kill females, the trap gives off (odourless) smell to attract and kill the males and to stop them fertilising the eggs. The spray kills eggs, lavre and females. Lavender and citrus room sprays also helps deter moths from your home.I think I got my moth problem from a 2nd hand blanket box which must have had eggs on it. I returned from holiday to find blood spots on my blinds and moths everywhere. I deep cleaned the house and rubbed everything with a mix of white vinegar and moth stop oil (apparently lavender oil works just as well) I then sprayed the carpet edges with a moth spray and laid the traps which can easily be hidden under beds, drawers etc. Within hours the traps were full and there was dead or dying moths in the room. We had the same problem the year after but reaserch said that you must re do the deep clean/spray/trap every 3 months to completely eradicate them ( I do hoover and dust daily anyway) but furniture must be moved and all surfacs wiped. This is now year 3 and they are getting less I find 2 or 3 tiny moths in the trap weekly but have not seen any flying nor any moth damage. I now use lavender bags in drawers cedar wood on hangers and these moth traps and refills.
