nice product, came fast

It’s a good mask and my skin feels smooth afterwards, but it didn’t fully clear my acne. I think it’s best as part of a routine rather than a one-product fix. Still nice quality and gentle, just don’t expect overnight results.

Information was crossed off the box using a black marker. Very strange. Makes me doubt the authenticity of the product. Very disappointing given the price point. Product burned the skin upon application, despite the bottle being sealed. Is this a fake?

I have been fighting face problems for 5 months. (late 40s). Cystic acne in my cheeks, whiteheads in my chin, painful pimples around my nose. Tried steroids, tried antibiotics, all take days to weeks to get back to somewhat normal, but never normal. I was recently in France and did a snatch n grab of about everything on the Avene display at the pharmacy (much cheaper there) and have systematically tried each product and combination of products. The Cleanance Expert lotion is very good, but have to constantly apply it, and you run out fast. And it never truly fixes it. Just makes you presentable. But the Mask? Perhaps my skin is just so sensitive and there is so much going on under the surface...let set for 5 minutes and rinsed...the mask made me look 5 times worse in the first 5 minutes. I thought what have I done. Swollen cheeks, flaking skin, drying. So it seems counter-intuitive, I sprayed the Avene oil on and worked it in with a soft clean brush. 6 hours later, my bumps were gone, my pre-treatment swelling was gone, the millions of tiny veins on my face were almost completely gone, my skin had a normal color, my whiteheads were 90% diminished. This is the most normal I've looked in months. I will do this again, but at night, before bed, where I don't have to be seen for many hours. And with the oil after, bc apparently I need the healing powers, but not the drying powers. I think I needed to disrupt the cycle so sharply to reset everything. Had to get worse before it could get better.
