Brought this for my daughter to help ease pain from her braces. It’s easy to use, has helped my daughter and comes in a compact case.

Very pleased with this wax and I have bought it on more than one occasion. The best way to use it is to warm it up a little first. Either by rolling it between your fingers or by keeping it in your pocket prior to use. It is usually advised that you dry the area before placing the wax on, but I haven’t found this necessary with this wax; simply just swallowing any excess saliva has always been fine. The wax is easy to build up, so if you only want a little wax on one that’s fine, but if you want loads on another, such as the wires at the back, then it is easy to build up. They come nicely packaged in little containers, so they are easy to store in your handbag or pocket. Overall, I would recommend anyone with braces to buy these.

WAXING WITHOUT THE PAIN Normally when you think of waxing, it is a painful experience with the removal of ...hair. Thank AMAZON that wax has other uses. Dental wax may seem simple enough, like a candle. The difference is its ability to be safely used in the mouth for those of use with braces. It's a cheek saver. I kept on trying to go without using it, but after a couple of work days when talking, the shredding of my inner cheeks and accompanying pain can become too much. HOW DOES IT WORK, HOW TO PUT IT ON In the box, the wax is cold, so is more firm. Take a half-pea size between your fingers, then work it by rolling the fingers. It will soon become warmer, more malleable and easier to apply. Identify the area on the brace that is rubbing against cheeks or lips and push on, then smooth out. If you have not worked with it enough, softening the wax, it will be difficult to mould around the bracket (the part glued to the tooth). If soft enough, it should easily cover the bracket and onto the metal brace. Shortly, it will harden. As wax has a smooth low friction surface, it removes the catching of tissue or scratching against the cheek. For good hygiene, remove the wax at the end of the day or when you can give your mouth a rest. This is easily done with a tooth brush. LOOK Yes - it looks awkward on the mouth, but I have not found a way to make it look any better. It is functional and works as good as any supplied by the orthodontist. I would avoid coloured ones unless you want a rainbow mouth. EFFECT ON BRACES There is no detrimental effect on the efficacy of the braces. Braces work over a long term low grade pressure on receptors in the mouth. Wax does not affect the mechanism of action. Downside is applying frequently, which changes each time the braces are replaced. SELLER Cheap, effective and arrived quickly with standard delivery, without needing to have anyone receive it.

Not recommended. 🤢 Lost in Bed: I wake up, and the wax is gone. Did it escape? Is it partying with the tooth fairy? I’ll never know. 🌙🕵️‍♂️ Wax Sculptures: I’ve started making tiny wax sculptures during class. My math teacher thinks I’m paying attention. It's quite difficult to warm up and mould into shape. I have also needed quite big chunks every time, otherwise it dries up and flakes off in smaller bits. The price is ok but I have tried other brands with better results.

Couldn't get any wax in Boots, so turned to Amazon for help before my braces eliminated my cheeks entirely. Pinch a bit off, warm it up, and carefully cover the offending metal bit. I had to fix and replace it a few times but after a couple of days, my cheeks had healed and got along fine with the brace. The small cases make it easy to carry in a pocket so you can replace wherever you are, and that also has the added bonus of pre-warming it. It would not stand up to eating, and drinking cold water seemed to quicken it along the path to disintegration, but it is a wax!

Great easy to use . Travel size

This wax is a lifesaver - covered a sharp piece of back tooth that was causing mouth ulcers on my tongue. Easy to use and comfortable, discreet too - once on my tooth you could barely see it.

La cire parfaite pour les porteurs de bagues aux joues irritées ! J'en utilise beaucoup et acheter de la cire de marque de parapharmacie constitue un certain budget. Non seulement celle-ci est moins chère, mais elle est surtout nettement meilleure : plus souple donc plus facile à malaxer, elle se fixe aussi bien que les autres sur les taquets de l'appareil et tient bien. Bonus, pas de goût bizarre ni mentholé. Bon, la boite n'est pas la plus pratique à ouvrir, mais je recommande fortement et je rachèterai ce produit.
