DEROSEN Stainless Steel Mini Ball Valves 1/4" to 3/4"

I ordered this to replace my drian valve at the bottom of my air compressor. I used in conjunction with other stainless pipe fittings. Needless to say the valve works great and the operation is smooth.

does the job but the ball valve is very stiff for the small knob.

I brew my own beer using the electric 5-gallon Brewzilla, and after about 30 brew sessions the ball valve seized closed, which prevented the pump from recirculating the wort. I took the ball valve apart to clean it but just couldn't reseat it properly. I was happy to find this replacement ball valvle at a cheap price and available for one-day shipping. I was brewing the very next day.

We ordered several of these valves. These are rated for 1,000psi but we could not get the valves to seal at 500psi. The NPT threads are too small/short or are out of spec and won't seal before bottoming out. We tested two 1/4" FxM and two 1/4" MxM and all four failed. In all cases, the problem is with the main body end of the valve. Insert end seems to be better, but can't be pressurized to test because the main body end leaks so badly. We made sure the other end of the connection was not the problem by replacing this valve with a plug. These may be useful in a very low pressure application using lots of thread seal tape to get a seal.

I love the size of this value. Most other values are much larger.

Great product and worked exactly as described. I just wish I would have bought two so that both valves would match.
