GHSGHS Electric Lap Steel Strings C6 Tuning 15-36

I recently drug out my old lap steel guitar, which was well hidden in our junk room! I decided to purchase a new set of C6th strings as replacements of the ones on my lap steel. These are very nice strings and priced right. Only issue I had was having to pay shipping, which was almost as much as the cost of the strings! Which brings to mind, has anybody else noticed that there seems to be less "prime" shipping available on Amazon?

Went on fine. I am not so sure I like the unwound 4th string. I am going to switch it out with a John Pearse set. The strings arrived as advertised and were well packaged. Just not the sound I am looking for.

I like these strings, they sound great. Even when I tuned them up to the middle six strings of the E9 pedal steel tuning, they still sounded good. I've put these in high G as well, no problem.Only one thing. On every set of these I've bought, no matter what guitar I put them on, the string you would tune to G always sounds super weird. It's thin and weak sounding for some reason. I don't know what's up with that...When I bought GHS's open G set I didn't have this problem. But the G string on this c6 set is wacky. No matter what note I tune it to.
