Price & Kensington Teapot | Stoneware, Teal, 6 Cup

Very pleased with my choice, after deliberating for days across Amazon and eBay. This teapot is gorgeous - the finish is perfect, the shape is exactly as a teapot should be, it cleans really easily and it pours perfectly. I did read some negative reviews about the pouring so was a bit worried but went ahead with my purchase anyway, I've no idea what was wrong with their teapots but this one pours perfectly, no dribbles, slow or fast pouring. And did I say the colour is divine (I went for the blue teal) and is exactly as represented in the pictures which can so often mislead.

This is a hefty piece of pottery that weighs around 860g empty and 1000g more when full. You'll need a strong wrist to handle it. The colour is teal with extra blue ... or blue with teal in it. Quite nice. It pours averagely well ... from full, if you tilt too much, you get two streams, one going straight down onto your granny's tablecloth. With a moderate attack it pours a single stream that's a bit 'fuzzy' and challenging to aim into a strainer. Either way, as you bring it back to horizontal, dribbles run down the spout. You'll need to catch those if you want to avoid a build-up of grot. Overall I wouldn't describe the pour as excellent and I certainly wouldn't risk using this over a delicate surface. Still, for the money, it's OK and the finish and presentation are good, so I'm happy to nudge this up from my instinctive 3 stars to a perhaps generous 4.

As a lady of a certain age, I like my tea made in a teapot and served in a bone-china cup with a saucer. This teapot is a perfect size for one or two people. I can get 3 cups from mine. The colour is lovely and matches my kitchen cupboards which is a plus.

Terrible design, tea comes out in a dribble / splash format when poured normally. Goes everywhere while largely missing your cup. Can be mitigated slightly by pouring at a sharp angle but then it comes flying out so also very easy to make a mess. Used it a couple of times now sat gathering dust, needs chucking in the bin sadly.

This is a lovely teapot. Nice shape, pours well, and is a great colour. BEWARE. It is not an 8 cup pot, as claimed. It is at best a 4 cup teapot, and can only fill 2 and a half mugs of tea.

Thankfully the Teapot and Lid were well packed and padded when received, and all was well. It's a nice looking teapot and although looks a bit small, it does hold six tea cups as described. For me the handle is slightly too large but this is just my opinion. What lets the teapot down is that the hole for the lid is perfectly round and the lid has only one lip. this means that when tilted forwards for pouring, the lid could fall out. If the design was slightly changed this would be a 5 star product. Only time will tell if the pot lasts for years as did our previous teapot. Since using the teapot for a week, I found the lid to be perfectly stable when pouring with hot tea. The handle was fine and the size meant that it stayed cooler when hot tea made teapot very hot. Also I found the spout to pour perfectly so all in all I am very pleased with my new teapot and so had to give it a 5 star rating after all.

Arrived in perfect condition, Amazon took extra care in handling it during shipping. Beautiful colour and shape! Just the perfect size to be able to carry without difficulty, and enough for 4 mugs of tea. Though if there's only 2 of us the pot gets cold before we can have our second servings (should probably get a tea cosy for that). Love this tea pot!
