Great value for money!
Really compact, practical and looks good! I must say it’s not the greatest in quality finishes, but pretty good value for money! Really easy to fill with water and secure the parasol and it actually looks really smart when everything is put together with the parasol. Would definitely recommend! Great so far!

Does the job
I like this base as it was cheaper than the cast iron ones and is easy to use, I had to whittle down the wooden pole on my parasol as it was slightly large, good quality product just filled with childs play sand job done.

Good small base
Why did you choose this product over others?: Right size for me . It is small but solid and looks well made would not be suitable for a very large parasol .

not an art piece but better than the white perhaps
It is a plastic base, and not expensive. Not as fig and bulky as some so easier to bit on older style tables. Water, soil or sand or no wind and will work as it is. Problem with most of these type of things is that the screw top works well but not for cheaper umbrellas as they have thinner sticks. Piece of wood to hold it in place, rubber bung or gaffer tape if nothing else available or a gaffer clip under the table to stop it flying away. Quite understated in the green, not an art piece but better than the white perhaps. Only put a 3 because I simply cannot say I 'love' a parasol base'. Neither is it top quality or supposed to be so really out of 5 it should be a 4 because of the inability to hold cheap umbrellas as if you put quality ones in this they are usually too happy to hold it properly.

Only fits the smallest of parasols!
Bought this as an Amazon suggested item when I bought my parasol as I needed something to keep my parasol upright and in place. Parasol arrived okay but when this base arrived and I tried to put the parasol in it the base was too small to hold the parasol pole. In other words it was useless. I went back to Amazon who said it was through Amazon MarketPlace so deal with the seller. Seller refused to give me a returns label postage paid as the item was "as described". Went back to Amazon who asked seller to send me a returns label postage paid but seller refused to do this. So I have sent back and paid the postage which is bad news when the base only cost £10.66 in the first place. I have checked the web advert and it doesn't say anywhere the size of the pole it will take (no measurement) and the seller told me it was a "generic" base which to me means it will fit most things. Anyway just waiting for my money back. Lesson is take the Amazon recomendations with a pinch of salt and get your base elsewhere as this one was rubbish.

Not perfect but it does the job.
The base is quite small so it's ok for beach type parasols, nothing bigger, but unless filled to the brim, which means holding it upright with the filler plug at the top, when filling it, it won't stop the parasol being blown over in a gust of wind. Sand might be better but I haven't tried it. The filler plug tended to leak, so I had to use thread tape (like plummers use) to seal it. After that it was ok, but will still wobble in gusty conditions. Apart from that it does the job for which it was intended, so no complaints. I think they could have used some slide in/out extendable feet to make it more steady but that would increase the price no doubt.
