Answered questions are saying these are 'on ear' with Hardwired cables and leather cups Product info says 'around ear' + 2 cables and not leather?

My supplied product are closed cup, which means that the padding totally encloses one's ears and with a 'closed' back portion, which means that the input has nowhere to go except into the ear. My ptoduct was supplied with two cables both of which insert to the 'phones by a proprietry 'jack' at one end and are terminated by a standard 1/4" jack or a mini jack at the other.

Is the port on the headphones themselves 2.5 or 3.5? there is nothing here that explains that.

The headphone port is 2.5mm with a twist in and lock entry. There's a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter on amazon that fits if you search "KOKKIA" that I used to attached a 3.5mm boom mic for gaming. Hope this helps.

do you recommend these for listening to electronic music with wide range of frequencies?

I do not personally recommend these headphones for anything . There are way better options at this price and also much better cheaper options .
