Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Basics Heavy Gesso 8.5 Oz-White

Used this to create texture for moss covered brickwork in a watercolour painting. It worked very well although I am not expert artist.

I'm a big fan of gesso in my mixed media work. I usily use a light weight gesso but decided to try this one knowing Finnabair recommends good products. I wasn't disappointed. It covers well, is moveable for a wee time and provides a good base. I also water mine down to get a thinner gesso if I need it. Would buy again.

Never thought I would need gesso but having a white, clear and black has enabled me to experiment more in my journal.

This is great stuff to use and better than cheaper gesso. I look forward to having the time to use it and getting back to craft-making.

This is the first time I have bought and used gesso, and I am loving it. This gesso has a nice thick texture and gives really good coverage. Very good price and free shipping from the USA, which is so impressive. Will definitely be buying this brand again.

A lovely thick gesso that covers in one go, easy to use and very appliable

So I purchased two of these about a week apart. The first one was excellent (the jar on the bottom) and the second was so inferior I had to check I hadn’t ordered the wrong thing. As you can see, the label is different on the second one though they say the same thing. I don’t know if the formula was changed and I was given an old container the second time. But I’d really like to know why. The first container would have been a 5 ⭐️ Review, but I have to split the difference for this 2 ⭐️ Second container.

I was almost out of Heavy Gesso, so I ordered this for next day delivery until my order from the art store arrived. The Prima proved to be easy to use and a good quality. This is a good value for the money if you only gesso a little, but I needed a much bigger container.

Amo questa marca, ancora di più questo gesso bianco! Io lo uso per fare stencil in rilievo nei miei progetti di Mixed Madia Art, ho visto che può essere usato anche come base sui fogli dei quaderni per non far passare i prodotti oppure se si usano acquarelli per evitare che si deformino le pagine.

I absolutely love this heavy gesso! I had previously only used regular liquitex gesso which is more thin, fluid, runny. I use this heavy gesso in art journaling either to cover pages or just for blending in white. It is so nice, thick and creamy. I’m obsessed and recently bought my second jar becusse I use it so much and don’t want to run out.
