This is a very nice, and extremely handy compact propane tank. I got this primarily to use with a Blackstone 22” portable griddle. I have used it on several car camping trips and several football game tailgates. The tank’s smaller size, and lighter weight is so much easier to transport and haul around compared to a conventional 20lb tank. It has enough capacity to do 3-5 large meal preps on the Blackstone. I have also used it to run a Mr. Buddy portable heater (2 nights use on low setting, and still had gas leftover), and with a fish cooker to fry a turkey. After hauling around and wrestling with large 20lb tanks for years, this small tank is a dream to transport and still provides enough capacity for convenient short term use for all my needs. It has robust construction, good quality valve, and the included gauge makes monitoring the gas level easy. If you are looking for a handy, smaller, lighter, & easier to transport option than a 20lb tank, with more capacity than 1lb bottles, this is a perfect size and must have. I’m considering buying a 2nd one for convenience and back up. 5 stars!

What a fantastic find! We were ecstatic to find this tank on Amazon as these little guys are not commonplace, they are hard to find in stores. We are RVers and we have a travel size grill that we take along with us. We had been using the small green propane tanks (16 oz) that you can buy in the store, however, they do not last long and it gets to be costly having to buy them all the time. On the flip side, we prefer not to lug around a large propane tank either as it takes up too much room when traveling, not to mention they are larger than our grill. We decided to search for the miniature version of the large tanks as it’s the perfect solution for a travel grill or any other equipment you may be using (lanterns, etc) and takes up very little room. The tank has proven its mettle, it works awesome. Designed exactly like the large ones, they are a mirror image (see pictures). It cost a whole $2.50 to fill it at our local warehouse store, didn't exactly break the bank (may cost more at other places). Talk about a cost savings especially compared to the green tanks in the store that cost $10 for a 2-pack. It does come with a gas gauge which is great as we can track usage. I can’t say enough about this tank, it is truly an outstanding product. We definitely won’t hesitate to purchase again. As far as I’m concerned the price is worth the convenience. Highly recommended!

This rank has more capacity than the disposable store bought tanks for my buddy heater and Coleman stove. Very cheap to fill and with the included gauge I can see how much I have left at a glance. Compared to lugging around a bunch of 1lb tanks this is much lighter to carry around. As functional as a larger tank if need be for a big grill or fire pit in a pinch. Same safety features as the larger tanks as well, good but overall and essential for overlanders and even weekend campers.

Picked up this little guy just this week and right after getting it i filled up the propane so i could try it out on my gas grill. This is a 1.6 gallon tank. First impressions, it is so sleak and small which makes it easy to store on the motorhome. Been carrying around the 20lb tank at the campground and its just a pain to have to pull it out of the storage compartment and set it up when i have so many other things to set my camp spot up as well (chairs, tables, etc..). I used it for the first time this week and it started my grill up right away with no issues. I have heard reviews of people saying the little gauge that comes with it isnt accurate. I screwed in a secondary gauge and it is right on where the one that comes with it is at. I also customized it with some fun stickers to make it more mine. Ive been also using the small green 16 oz coleman propane tanks, that without doing any math, you know its a much better value and refillable too. Overall very happy with this little tank.

Here's the thing, I think this bottle is great. It holds well, travels well, no leaks, and have had no issues with it connecting up to any of our propane items. BUT! The gauge doesn't work well at all and is consistently wrong. It said we were nearly empty and when we went to have it refilled, it needed less than 1lb of gas put in. In all honesty, I never really expected it to work, but would have been really happy if it did. These types of gauges always are terrible, but it was on sale for cheaper then the same bottle without the gauge, and it doesn't hurt anything being on there. If you are hoping for an accurate gauge on how much gas you have, find another way to measure, but if you want a reliable tank that is easy to use, then these are great.

Nice size, good quality.

Great little tank. Use it to go on vacation with rather than dragging a 40 lb tank. Also use it for emergency when I run out of gas in the two home BBQ tanks. Gives me enough of a breather to get those tanks refilled. If the needle on the gauge doesnt move when you get it, set the tank up right and tap it to unstick the float.

Carry this in my motorhome to use with the grill or portable fire pit. It doesn't take up a lot of room and holds 1 gallon of propane. More flexibility on where I can put my appliances. Cost about $4 to fill compared to buying the small canisters that can't be refilled and are quite expensive. The gauge is just a snap on but no different than my 20 lb tank.
