Allergen Wash Laundry Detergent by Allersearch

So far so good. We purchased the Wash Laundry Detergent and the Pet+ Shampoo together. Even though we already knew that our daughter has some allergy to dogs we took the risk and took in a dog from the rescue home. After a couple of day we realized that it was not going to be easy as my daughter started itching (eyes and nose) and some sneezing. I did a lot of research on the web and decided to give these products a try before deciding if we had to give the dog back or not. We washed everything (throws, curtains, bedding, clothes, etc....)that would go into the washing machine with this detergent. At the same time we bathed the dog (Nika) with the Allersearch Pet+ Shampoo. To maximize the effects of this we also put in place two air purifiers with Hepa filters, one in the main living area and the other in my daughters bedroom where we always keep the door shut. So, even though I cannot be 100% sure that these products are the cure for dog allergy sufferers, but by using them in conjunction with the air purifiers and common sense, I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. My daughter has not suffered a runny nose or sore eye since and only very occasionally sneezes. She cuddles and strokes the dog now and they are bonding nicely.. Very happy indeed...!!!

Great product, smells funny when first out the washing machine although this does fade quickly. Instructions aimed at the American front loading washing machines, although with basic common sense instructions not required. I have dropped it down a star as it is expensive for a little bottle, hopefully the price will come down.

I have been using this for yonks now, there is a very good reason, it works!! There is no one makes better detergent than this for eczema relief, whatever their claims!! Also it seems expensive, but it is concentrated, and so if you use the recommended amount, it lasts a long time, I haven't given any stars for smell, simply because, one of the selling points, for me was that fact, it just smells fresh and clean, I wouldn't use anything else now. Superb!!!

I bought this as my dog has a severe allergy to house dust mites. I wash what I can at 60deg to kill them but bought this to wash clothes in at 40degC. I had high hopes for it but it does not clean properly. After washing, socks still had dirty soles, and trousers still had dirty muddy areas on them. I now use it in addition to my usual washing powder. Unsure if it works or not but worth a try. It's a small bottle but lasts for a lot of washes.

It is a highly concentrated detergent. It can be used for a long period of time. I use it only for wising the bed linen. It seems to do it job. While the linen is still wet you can feel the light smell of the detergent, however the smell disappears after the laundry is dry. The cup(lid) is a bit small, probably to prevent using too much detergent at a time. It makes the cup a bit dirty after each use.

To be honest I am finding it impossible to give any guarantees about how effective this product is. I can see that if you have a skin allergy such as excema, you may see results pretty quickly, as any improvement will be quite obvious. However, my allergy is to house dust mite so results are much less clear cut. I only use the detergent to wash bed linen and don't bother to use it for anything else. As it is very expensive this makes it more cost effective. I also took the advise of other reviewers who indicated that you only needed to use a very small quantity. Again this makes it more cost effective. As I bought a new mattress, duvet and pillows at the same time as I started to use this detergent, and also sprayed my new mattress with an anti dust mite spray, it is impossible to separate out which of these items was most effective. Certainly, the combination of all the actions taken has helped my allergy considerably but was this detergent helpful? I cannot be sure but nevertheless, I have decided to continue using this product. If you use it wisely and sparingly, it is not that expensive and I feel that it is worth a try.

I ordered a product for allergy sufferers, it said "Allergen Cleansing". However, when I received it, I studied the composition, and it included dangerous components for me: EDTA and ammonium lauryl sulfate. I have an allergy, and these components cause acute allergy attacks. The full composition was not listed on the product page, and the photo of the label does not correspond to the product picture, and this is exactly the composition listed on it. Above my expectations for cleaning ability. Excellent choice for washing in cold water and getting rid of allergens. A little goes a long way.

Excellent product. Feels like we are conquering the dust mite allergens. Along with mattress enclosure and anti-allergen dust spray for other areas, this product is essential for those who want to reduce allergens in your life.

Seems to be working. Washing all sheets and clothing for a few weeks now. Daughter used to cough when I changed sheets now that I wash with this she is no longer bothered. Smell disappears once whatever you are washing dries. Would recommend.

Did not come with measuring lid. You need to guestimate or use your own measuring cup.
