I have used this caddy on 2 computers in the past and the latest one was the HP DV6. All we need to do is to remove the DVD drive and replace it with the caddy so that we can have extra storage on the laptop. To fix the HDD the caddy has 4 screws on the outside that when tighten will secure the HDD. There's not much more that i can say about the caddy other than it does the job. Dont expect premium materials because its not a premium component. Its a cheap solution that works.
