ACR Personal Locator Beacon and Bivy Stick Accessory Pouch and Carabiner Strap

This pouch is a nicely made accessory for my ACR PLB-400. There is enough room in the pouch to attach the carabiner strap to the PLB and tuck it behind the unit in the pouch, so that you can attach the pouch to your pack harness, belt, etc. and protect the PLB. In an emergency, you pull the PLB out of the pouch, activate it, and use the carabiner to attach it to yourself or whomever (or whatever) you want to be found by the responding SAR team. The plastic clip on the front of the pouch ensures that the PLB unit won't accidently fall out. Yes, it's a little pricey for a canvas pouch and carabiner, but it's custom made for the ACR PLB-400 series and works well, so it's worth the extra coin.

The quality of this case is very good. It holds the ACR PLB well and provides the protection needed when carrying this important safety item. The price is high but it does the job well.

The beacon is excellent. The free registration with NOAA works well. The self-test works well. Very nice compact unit we can use on the boat and also when hiking. Highly recommend the beacon. The case is thin and not padded. The carabiner is steel, very heavy, useless. The new model with the confirmation message looks good. If I buy again, I'll opt for that model.

My ACR beacon locator was a a little too big and it would not close

It fits perfectly. Keeps the antenna stowed and the device protected. Easy to attach to a lifejacket belt or clothing type belt. Fair price for an important device.

Everything was as described. Registration was easy. The only thing is... I wish the accessories pouch was easier to attach to my inflatable PFD.
