As with many garden games, Mölkky is a great opportunity to have a bit of fun, and always makes any outdoor get together a little bit more interesting. At first glance it might look like garden skittles, but there's no ball; you throw the Mölkky (a cylindrical lump of wood) at the pins.The things that make Mölkky quite unique (in my experience) is:- It's very easy to set up.- The rules are simple. Knock over one pin, you get its point score. Knock over more than one, you score the number of pins you knock over.- The play field changes as the game is played. As pins are knocked over and around, you stand them up wherever they land, for the next player.- There's strategy. You need to get to 50 points exactly to win. Go over 50 points, you go back to 25. So you need to think about the layout and how to manipulate it to benefit yourself and mess up other players. So whatever you do can influence the overall game.- Anyone can play, and you can have any number of players.This particular set is weighty and sturdy, including the crate. Buy one, it'll last you for life.

Quality wood for a quality game

Bought as a gift for grandchildren. Lots of fun in the garden, always surprised just how competitive people can get…🤣

Deceptively simple game that is fun to play.

Having read the reviews, I was slightly concerned when I ordered this Mölkky set that the quality of this set wouldn’t be as good as it ought to be for the price. However, having had it a couple of weeks and played it a few times, I’m more than happy with it. Sure, there were one or two slightly rough edges on the bases of the skittles and the carrier, but they could be easily sanded away. All the numbers on the skittles were clear and of uniform colour. I’m not sure what sort of wood it is; however, it is better than pine and not as good a beech (like my Kubb set). Nevertheless it seems up to the job and nothing has split, so far at least.Equally important, it’s a fun game – even though my wife has beaten me every time so far!

Combined with the app, this game is very good for all friends and family of all ages. Highly recommended.
