Liberta Cortes Medium Parrot Cage 89

Our 31 year old Eclectus normally lives on a large tree stand with easy access to the windowsill. As we have the builders in, we needed the safely of a cage that could also be opened up when possible. He knows what he likes and will sulk if he doesn’t get it! Amazingly he settled straight in and gave his little chirrups of approval. And we approve too, really sturdy, nice looking and easy to put together. Everything well thought through. Even the coop cups are anti tilt. We put the two Internal perches provided near each set of bowls, otherwise it would be a stretch. We have added a fatter perch higher up to give variation for his feet and we have ordered a couple of flat perches too, as he always chose to sleep on the windowsill to rest his feet. We are so pleased with this cage that I’m sure that we’ll keep using it in the future, but mostly with the top left open.

i bought this cage to house 2 cockatiels and did lots of research - most cages are either far too big for a room or far too small for the birds, this one seemed to fit the bill well.Easy to put together - the instructions are laughable as they consist of a couple of badly photocopied pieces of paper with no actual instructions, but as the cage consists of 4 sides and a few trays it wasn't hard to work out what went where, and in what order!The cage is very sturdy and well made, it is heavy but the wheels make it easy to move around.After their initial panic because it was something new my two cockatiels soon got used to it and are enjoying the extra room, there is loads of space inside for their perches and toys, and as the roof opens their gym can be put on top as they spend most of the day outside the cage flying about and adventuring.I am definitely glad i bought this particular cage and it was well worth the money, delivery was very quick too, much earlier than estimated, i ordered on the Friday and it arrived on Monday morning.

Easy to assemble and looks nice. I bought a very similar cage 12 years ago (the light grey one pictured) which was if much better quality - the panels if the new cage are much less sturdy and I doubt it will last the 12 years the last one did and I'm not convinced it's worth the £310.00 paid.Plus points are the bottom panels are solid so most of the seed stays in the cage (the older model didn't, even with the skirts attached).Barney, our African grey settled right in without any sulking and the cage looks fabulous.

I like that this cage has horizontal bars,I'm not impressed with the craftsmanship of liberta cages they seem poorly finished, with gaps where there shouldn't be,Unfortunately my cage arrived with rust in the box, it took me a while to find the parts with the problems, pictured above .The other problems I encountered is when you remove the metal grill because your bird prefers the sandsheet, there is a very deep base, which makes it difficult for the bird to climb upto the bars. Also a large gap just above the metal base.I have found a solution to this, I am resting a plastic sheet on the grill and putting the sandsheet on top of that, but a ladder or climbing aid is still nessasary to allow the cockatiel to climb up onto the bar sections.And of course extra expense.Saying that I think my cockatiel will be happy once he adusts.I'm not so happy about the rust, but this is the second liberta cage I've purchased and there are less issues with this one.My old cage has a hole so need a replacement.The cage arrived with bent sections, which I found easy to Bend back, a little too easy,so it's not as sturdy as I would like,Also I wish it was a little higher of the floor as fitting it in the corner and being able to then open the door may be a problem.if it were a few inches higher would be better.

So firstly, I was sent the wrong cage. It was so flimsy I wouldn't have put a budgie in it. But they sent a replacement pretty much next day. And it was free return on the wrong one. So no real issue... Had the real cage about 3 months now and it's excellent. I have an African grey and she is dwarved by the cage. Even full of toys, she has loads of room. The bowls and doors are all very good, having three is a bonus. Very easy to clean out too thanks to the sliding tray. Oddly my bird seems to prefer sitting on it when the roof is closed. But she's weird. Oh, perhaps most importantly, if your bird can undo the locks. It must be genius, and have thumbs. Very well made.

Cage was bent and screws and bolts missing load of crap for the money

This is a really good, well thought out cage. Three feeders is a great idea. I have a parrot who likes fruit as well as his usual seeds, so the extra feed bowl is a plus. The cages is a good size for a medium parrot, even with all his toys he has plenty of room in there and seemed to like it, exploring it all straight away. Sturdy and neat looking and the seed guards actually do their job. Delighted with this purchase, a well deserved 5 stars.

Bar spacing is 1 inch. Cage is perfect for my mini macaw, would be fine for a grey (but nothing bigger), indian ringnecks, larger conures like the sun conure and possibly 'tiels but you don't want to put smaller conures like a green cheek, love birds, or parakeets in it. Very easy to put together, slot in and screw and very well constructed.
