Gentle on dry skin
Good for itchy, dry winter skin. I used it in the panties’ elastic area, which itched awfully during winter time. Didn’t get any acne; the itch was gone as I used this cream after the shower every day. I can’t say it was very quickly absorbed, but definitely didn’t leave a film like Vaseline.

Not bad but quite thin
I use a LOT of aqueous cream and normally buy multiple tubs of Boots own. But Boots has a supply issue currently so I turned to Amazon. I decided to do a little research and try this one - XBC - and compare it with Nuage and Aquaderm (brands stocked by Amazon). Before I go any further, a lot of people are up-in-arms about the inclusion of Sodium Laurel Sulphate in aqueous cream. I do wonder why AC includes this as in shampoo it is to create a lather which is important to many customers. You hardly need a good lather for AC so maybe it’s there for another reason. I haven’t come across AC that doesn’t contain it though. If there is one I’d like to know but it’s hard to avoid this ingredient in beauty and health. All three came in pots that are taller and narrower than Boots own and look smaller but actually aren’t. Of the three tested, I found Nuage to be the closest in consistency to the Boots own. It was fairly thick and so would do better as a cream. I only needed a tiny bit and it rubbed in nicely. The other two, including XBC were much thinner and were actually better for filling my dispensers with as I tend to use it as hand soap (vital in these days of frequent soap use during the pandemic. Proper soap is probably better for this but it ruins sensitive skin). Here’s my detailed review about all three in comparison: Nuage best all rounder. Nice on skin, good cream and will still work from a dispenser next to the sink as soap. XBC next best. Better as a soap, not so good as a cream - very thin and doesn’t rub in so well Aquaderm came in at the bottom of my three tested. Same as XBC but also not such a good consistency.
