This mouthguard works for me; if you haven't found one that works for you yet, try this one. The first thing to understand is that mouthguards are very personal; different people require different styles. I do MMA and Krav Maga, and the variation in mouthguard designs with the people I train with is extraordinary. Some people have mouthguards that literally guard their incisors (front row of teeth), whereas some people have mouthguards like this one, which go right to the back of the molars (but not wisdom teeth). It depends on gag reflex, how easy you find it to breathe with one in, and ultimately just personal preference. You can end up going through 5 or 6 different designs until you find the one that works for you. But this one works for me. 1) It doesn't fall out. This one is actually moulded to my teeth, and once it is in, it stays in without me having to hold it there with my tongue or biting down on it. Thus, my teeth are safer when fighting, and I'm not worried about swallowing it or losing it during a fight. 2) It doesn't trigger my gag reflex. This could be a reflection on either myself or the mouthguard, but the profile of this guard is much slimmer than competitors, which I think is the biggest difference. The soft moulding stuff on the inside is smooth and flexible. 3) Good design. The raised bits at the back of the guard protect the bottom molars during hits to the jaw, reducing the potential vertical movement in the hinge of the jaw and acting as a shock absorber. The lip design underneath the top incisors protects the lower incisors from moving forwards, and once again there is a sort of shock absorber design here. 4) Aesthetic. I feel like a WWII fighter plane with shark teeth going into a fight. Certainly, a cool design that stands out and can look menacing. This is a great mouthguard, and if it works for you, it will serve you well. I can't recommend it well enough.

SAFEJAWZ mouthguards as brilliant. I use these for myself and my child for use when sparring in Taekwondo. They are the best we have used. Easy to mould, they fit great, don’t make you gag and you can breathe easily with these.

Bought this for my son who uses them for boxing. It doesn't mould as well as other mouthguards, have to leave it in hot water for a LONG time, but after 5 attempts he managed to get it to stay put. It looks good and seems nice quality but I think he will choose a different brand next time.

No issues molding it, followed instructions. Used lots of different brands of mouthguards over the years and this was the easiest to do and very comfortable to wear with no fear of it being lose during a game. The colour and design are also great!

As a long time BJJ practioner, a decent gum shield is worth it's weight in gold. The amount of times I've caught an elbow or knee straight in the mouth by an over enthuastic training partners (let's be honest - mainly new white belts) and the fact I still have my teeth is testament to how good this gum shield is. Fits great after molding, stays put during rounds, and most importantly - all my teeth are still exactly where they should be. Worth every penny, unless you enjoy dental work.

This was a Christmas present. Looks exactly like the photograph. I can't comment on how good or effective the gum shield is.

I have been using this mouthguard for a while now and fits well and is easy to mould. The mouthguard itself is of high quality and is comfortable. The case, on the other hand, is stiff and difficult to open. It usually takes quite a while to get it open! The mouthguard is great though and i would recommend it, but maybe try using a different container as the provided is too difficult to open

Ich fahre gerne Schlittschuh (Freestyle) und nachdem ich mir kürzlich bei "Dönekes" ordentlich auf die Zunge gebissen habe, habe ich mich dazu entschieden mir so einen Schutz zu besorgen. Ich weiß das die Dinger vorrangig dazu gemacht sind die Zähne bei einem Full-Kontakt-Sport zu schützen und nicht um sich nicht auf die Zunge zu beißen, aber auch das erledigt das Ding mit bravur! Dadurch das die oberen Zähne in dem Schutz und man die Zähne gefahrlos aufeinander pressen kann, funktioniert das in meinem Fall genau wie gewünscht. Der unangepasste Zahnschutz sitzt furchtbar, was aber auch zu erwarten war. Aber nachdem man ihn wie in der Anleitung ordentlich beschrieben angepasst hat, sitzt er absolut perfekt! Er hält von alleine, sitzt wie angegossen, drückt oder schmerzt nicht und ist auch nicht unangenehm nach längerem Tragen. Das Anpassen selbst ist super einfach und funktioniert absolut perfekt. Einfach das Ding für 30 Sekunden in kichendes Wasser legen, rausnehmen und direkt in den Mund einsetzen - nein, man verbrennt sich nicht den Mund, auch wenn das einige geschrieben haben - dann sachte die Zähne für wieder 30 Sekunden zusammenbeißen und an dem Mundschutz saugen - das Saugen ist wirklich wichtig damit er sich perfekt anpasst! Dann rausnehmen und nochmal 30 Sekunden unter kaltes Wasser halten und Voilá, man einen perfekt sitzenden Zahnschutz. :) Ich würde das Teil sofort wieder kaufen und durch die "coolen" Zähne vorne drauf hat auch meine 8-jährige Tochter sofort gesagt sie möchte auch so ein Teil haben. Hahaha
