Great item

Ordered this to leach my husband to play Canasta. The item arrived promptly and well packaged. The cards are lovely and good to play with as they move freely so are easy to shuffle which I do my hand - half at a time and then a quick shuffle together (as equivalent to 2 packs plus of ordinary cards). Instructions are easy to understand and scoring is make easier as each card has its score value on it. The only thing I would pick at is the brown box they are stored in when not in used - this looks and feels as if it would start to fall apart after a few uses so I will be using something else but otherwise a great product for Canasta lovers. If you are in to cards game and have not used if cards (rather than on comuter) give these a go!!

Great cards of good quality. They are slightly larger than standard cards so may not fix in wooden boxes etc.

My parents took up Canasta to exercise their (90 year old )minds. They play a two-hand every afternoon, and have joined a Canasta club, where they play a four-hand once a fortnight. My two brothers and I, plus our respective spouses, have also been press-ganged into playing whenever we visit. That's a lot of card handling. The cards we have just replaced with an identical brand-new set from Jaques, have been constantly in daily use for 8 or 9 months, and are still fit to play with, certainly more pleasant to handle than some of the grubby cards used at the Canasta club. Terrific value for money, delivered to the door within a couple of days of ordering. Why settle for an inferior product?

On the positive side, the set arrived in a beautifully wrapped box, the canasta values on the cards are great, and also great that the two packs have the same back. Having previously bought the Jaques Bridge set (fantastic set: 2 packs of cards, a lovely mahogany storage box, a pad of score sheets and 4 pencils) I was hopeful this set would also be great. But... The negatives are: 1. The cards are significantly wider than standard, and wider than the cards in the (fantastic) Jaques bridge set, (canasta cards measure: 8.8L x 6.3W cm; Jaques bridge cards measure 8.5L x 5.5W cm) and as such do not fit into our canasta card holder tray - photos attached. * In the photos, the Jaques bridge cards are used for comparison, the canasta cards are still in their cellophane wrapping. 2. There is no storage box other than the cardboard box in which it arrives. 3. The score sheets are part of the instruction booklet, not a separate pad 4. No pencils are included. I guess if you don't use a cansata cards holder tray it would be fine, but as we do and I bought this set assuming the cards would be standard size, unfortunately they are not for us. So, regretfully, I shall be returning them.

What a lovely surprise to receive this product. The care and attention to the quality and packing was exceptional. As a novice to canasta, such a lovely surprise to see all the scores on each card and easy to read rules to the game. The card quality is really really good and I would definitely recommend this.

Kanaster spiele ich seit meine Kindheit und liebe es. Seit den letzten Urlaub habe ich meine Familie beigebracht und sie lieben auch, besonders meinen Mann. Diese Karten habe ich gesucht denn in den Geschäften finde ich nur Welche aus Karton und sie werden schnell kaputt. Diese sind aus Plastik und was mir am meisten gefällt ist dass die Punktezahl sind bedrückt, für Anfänger optimal. Die Regeln sind klar ausgedrückt und verschiedene auch noch. Einfach super Kauf!!!!

Eignet sich super zum verschenken, es sieht in der schönen Verpackung wirklich hochwertig aus Und so ein Kartenspiel sollte wirklich jeder zu Hause haben :)

Die Karten selbst machen einen guten Eindruck. Das Plastik ist rutschiger als normale Karten .Aber das wußte ich vorher. Was ich störend finde ist das "Etui" um die Karten aufzubewahren. Nur Karton macht mir keinen Langlebigen Einduck. Da wäre Leder oder Holz angemessener. Deshalb der Punkt Abzug.
