Learning Resources Pet Counters

I bought these Pet Counters for teaching young children at my school to count and sort. The animals are very appealing and attractive, perfect for small hands, with a slightly rubbery texture but still fairly robust. (I've given 5 stars for durability in the expectation they should last a long time.) They are very popular with the 6 year olds who do Numbers Count with me, especially those children with learning difficulties, and ideal for counting and sorting. And today, some 12 year olds who noticed my Pet Counters wanted to play with them!

Great to combine with the other color products, e.g. fruit or other animals to have more variety in sorting options. I really like that they work so well with the sorting bowls in the same colors. Great for language and maths.

Really colourful. Lovely details for each animal. Just right size for children to handle.

We have different sets from Learning Resources. This one is ok, but animals are bigger than in another set and not so soft.

One of the "pet" figures is so badly made that the head is completely missing, with plastic trailing off - quite unpleasant. Very disappointing.

I purchased these for our pets study at school. The children really liked using them for sorting and classifying by color and animal type. They are extremely engaging for children, and a favorite "go to" math manipulative in our classroom. I really liked these because as a teacher, I buy many supplies on my own dime for our classroom, and like to purchase items that will be durable enough to last several years. These will definitely last. My students loved these so much I will be getting more! Thanks for making a cute and durable product that children love!

Este set de figuras lo compré para reemplazar las piezas de plástico de un juego de mesa antiguo, que con el tiempo he ido perdiendo o se han roto, ya que son de plástico muy delgado y este producto le vino como anillo al dedo a mi juego de mesa. Las piezas son de plástico resistente y están muy bien hechas. Si a alguien le interesa saber más acerca de este producto, son sólo 6 diseños de mascotas (un perro, un gato, un cotorro, un pez, un conejo y un hamster) en 6 diferentes colores (azul, amarillo, anaranjado, verde, morado y rojo) y cada animalito viene 2 veces en cada color (2 gatos verde, 2 rojos, 2 amarillos, etc.)El pedido llegó en excelente estado.¡Muchas gracias, Amazon!

I just recently purchased these for my preschool classroom. Counters are so useful in so many ways in classroom (sorting, counting, sensory, open -ended play). Pets are animals that kids can relate to. Durable. I highly recommend them.
