NOT glassine and NOT white
These are NOT proper glassine bags and they are also NOT white. They are very flimsy, tear easily and definitely not like the photo at all. They are also a nasty dirty white colour. Not fit for purpose

They are as they appear, the size is right, and they are glassine. I use these for packaging stationery items, stickers, and handmade bookmarks. I tested one out today: I put a scrap of paper in the bag, and ran it under water from the faucet, and the scrap of paper inside did not get wet at all, and the exterior of the bag dried afterwards. I love this so much. Very happy with this, will repurchase!
