Quirky, unusual patterns
As a cross stitcher, this is exactly what I was looking for to stitch smaller designs for cards. Well printed with clear patterns and information about supplies needed. Unusual patterns which are fun to stitch, although a lot of them use two strands of different colour thread, which can be a pain if you don't have the exact same shades available, or are not used to stitching with variagated threads.

Adorable designs and easy instructions.
This simple little book is perfect for beginners.. With simple instructions and colorful glossy diagrams you just cannot go wrong. Michael Powell has created adorable Christmas cross stitch patterns that can be used for tags, Christmas Tree decorations, cards and any number of things that you want to adorn for the festive season. The designs are just adorable, stars, trees and Christmas bells and with the largest design being just over 5 inches, it will take just a quiet afternoon to whip one up. Powell gives a few stitching instructions and fabric preparation, but to be honest this books is so simply explained even a complete novice can do it. With easy to read charts and two stitches this book, part of Search Press Books 20 to stitch range, would make an ideal gift. I particularly liked the Starlit Stable and the Dancing Trees, they are all very effective and have a childlike quality to them. Cross stitch is an easy craft to learn and this book is a good one to start with. Recommended.

Cute but difficult
I loved the idea of this book but then was disappointed when I realised all the patterns were in this challenging yarn to work with. I imagine it a bit of a marmite taste where you either love of have it.

Nice little book
I didn't realise it is actually a book - I thought it was separate patterns. It's a very nice A5 size paperback with 20 patterns inside. They are small, but very nice little patterns and I will only use half of them for little cards, but for the price, I'd certainly recommend it.
