I bought this for my 10 year old grandson. We put a rope on it and he drug it, tossed it and played with it. He put it on a big cast iron outdoor kettle pot and it could not be pulled off. His uncle stepped and slid it sideways with his boot until it was at the edge. My grandson’s favorite toy. Not really sure how they market its uses, but this was used as an outdoor kids toy. He is taking it to the beach next to find treasure.

Purchase a Christmas sweater for daughter. Store left security tag without me knowing the tag was still attached. Two months later on Christmas there it was the security tag and no receipt to return to store that was over 20 miles from home. This magnet worked so fast and efficiently I was amazed at the quality of this magnet working with no damage to the clothing item. Highly recommend this product!

You do have to be careful with handling — it will snap to metal hard and fast, so keep fingers clear and keep it stored safely. Great for fishing metal out of hard-to-reach places or even hanging heavy-duty tools. Definitely a solid investment if you need reliable pulling power in a small package.

My first use of this magnet was to retrieve a cast iron plate from an ash dump in a fireplace that had fallen about 8 feet down below the fireplace. Weighed maybe 5-7 pounds. No problem whatsoever for this and I'm sure I'll have many future uses. Highly recommended.

I like this magent it's awesome. I'll be using it for many things. However, the primary reason I bought this was to remove 2 tags that the store left on. The socks were bought about 6 years ago and left it in my daughter's drawer until she grew up to make them fit. That's when I realized socks has a tag and it was too late because I didn't remember where I bought the socks from or where was the receipt. The magent did not work for that kind of tag. The circular tag was inside my daughter's school backpack and didn't know tag was in there until we got home and was getting the bag ready for school. The store we bought the bookbag from was far from home and we only go there once a year for tax free week/back to school shopping. The magnet did work to remove that tag. Considering actual tag remover magnet, this was cheaper. I hope this helps other people who finds themselves in my situation, not for theft.

I picked up these magnets expecting something close to the listed 350 lb pull force, but they aren’t anywhere near that strength. In my testing, they couldn’t reliably hold even 5 lb on a clean, flat steel surface. For light tasks they’re fine, but the advertised rating is extremely unrealistic. The build quality itself seems okay, and for small projects or organizing lightweight metal items they work as intended. They’re compact, easy to handle, and consistent from piece to piece. Just don’t expect them to perform anywhere close to the stated pull force. Overall, they’re usable for light-duty applications, but the strength claims are so far off that I can only give them three stars.

The only criticism I have about these is the ring can vibrate itself loose. I highly recommend these for van life and especially if you tear the headliner out like I did. This can be used to hold solar screens or gear.

This is a really good rare earth magnet. It can pretty much pick up a bicycle with no problem. Great for picking up stuff from the bottom of a lake or canal.
