NOW Foods Supplements, Elderberry Liquid 500 mg, 10:1 Concentrate, Free Radical Scavenger*, 8-Ounce

This stuff is amazing! Our family came down with a cold, one-by-one. As soon as I heard a deep coughing fit, I whipped this out. I gave 2 tablespoons by mouth right away. Suddenly, the coughing stopped. I mean dead in its tracks. Our child declared that the taste was "tart", but not unpleasant, and that they could feel their nose tingling and as though the phlem was not as thick in their throat. I continued with 2 TBS 3 times a day, along with increased fluids and of course a pot of chicken noodle soup for lunch.Two days later the next one got it, so naturally they got 2 TBS as well 3x/day. By then the first one was hanging in there - some sinus congestion (I started putting about 1/2 TBS apple cider vinegar in a cup of iced tea (or just in a cup of water), which they drank 3x/day. I did at that point toss in an over-the-counter psudafed knock-off for the sinuses. Because this was for a child, I chopped it in half for them.Two days later **I** got it. By this time, I had already started some apple cider vinegar in a cup of water 2x/day. Once I felt that deep tickle for a cough, I started in on this elderberry syrup. WOW! You really can notice a difference right away! I'm on day 3 of my cold, which is still present, but the symptoms are incredibly mild (to the point where I can sleep pretty well at night, which is a first for me with a cold). Admittedly, I am also using apple cider vinegar 3x/day in some hot tea (the Sinus Ease one, I think they sell it here on amazon but you probably can find it in your local grocery store). In the tea I also add some honey, sprinkle of ginger, the ACV, and a squirt of this elderberry syrup. I also take it by the spoonful separately, because at full strength in a spoon, it is so amazing how well it starts to battle mucus!Yes, I have other protocol in place, but I know by the instantaneous ceasing of a coughing fit (by all 3 of us who are currently under the weather) that this stuff is amazing all on its own. It's a nasty flu/cold season this year, folks. Get this and add it to your arsenal and stay healthy.

I have tried a few other brands of Elderberry Syrup before. They all tasted great (Like a berry pancake syrup), but none of them seemed to work. This stuff tastes very strong because it is a juice concentrate, not a syrup. This stuff actually works very well! I have 2 children and whenever 1 of them gets sick, it slowly gets passed between all four of us. With this stuff, the colds we do get are mild, and it prevents the colds from spreading to other family members.We don't take this stuff every day, just when one of us gets sick we all start taking it. Usually a cold will start in one of my children, they pass it to their sibling, the 2-year old passes it to me, and eventually, my husband will catch it as well. With this elderberry liquid, it seems to stop at the source. So whoever gets sick first, it ends with them. We have had 3 cold cycles since we began using this product. The first time, my oldest and my husband came down with something the same day. The toddler and I never caught it. The 2nd cold cycle, my oldest and I got sick at the same time. We all started the elderberry liquid again. My husband and our 2-year-old never caught it, and the oldest and I were completely better within 5 days (I am usually sick for weeks). Our colds never progressed passed our sinuses. No sore throat, no cough, just a stuffy nose. My kids are currently sick again. We were out of town when the oldest got sick so we didn't have the elderberry liquid with us. By the time we left to come home, the 2-year-old caught it. As soon as we made it home, we all started the elderberry liquid again. The oldest has been completely better after about a week with the cold, the youngest is still quite sick, but my husband and I are still completely healthy, even with the 2-year-old coughing right into my eyeballs and kissing me with snot all over her face. lol. I think this cold too will pass usI am so thankful for this product! I usually always catch whatever the kids get, and I am always so very sick when I do catch it between my asthma and not getting enough sleep. I will keep buying this stuff!

My son has constant severe food allergies. Soy, Canola, Sunflower, Safflower, peanut, and cotton seed oils. It doesn't help for these oils to be organic. He reacts to lots of grains and seeds and some days it seems he is just reacting to being alive.Carrot juice, beet juice, frresh tumeric juice all help quell and prevent reactions but I can't carry those things around and juicing takes time. While on a trip my family was exposed to strep throat, as a preventive I went straight to the health food store and found myself intrigued by elderberry syrup.At the time there were only 2 brands in the store: Gaia and Sambucol. I grabbed the Gaia because it was the cheapest and gave a dose every morning and evening for a few days to my family.It worked like a charm. No one came down with strep, but I also noticed that my son wasn't having any mucus reactions. Hmm, interesting I thought. So when the bottle was gone I purchased another. This time the Honey Garden's version because we were still traveling and that was the best priced bottle in the store I was in. It worked like a charm.So when I got home I ordered the Now brand. It was a much better price and I have found it to be just as effective.I can't tell you how freeing it is to know that even if I don't have time to prepare juice 3 times a day, my son can still have a good day without literally drowning in mucus.Hope this was helpful to someone.
