Liked it more than I expected! It's probably true to say a little goes a long way so, depending on the length of your hair, I'd expect people to be able to get at LEAST 10 applications out of this bottle (your hair doesn't need to look sodden with oil). This product has a very natural fragrance to it with, almost, minty notes (it is not an overwhelming smell so even if you are not keen on mint it should not put you off). The oil is quite lightweight which means I can get away with rubbing a little into my scalp and roots without a greasy residue. At this juncture I should say that I have used this oil as a pre-wash treatment only and would possibly be disinclined to rub this into the roots of my clean hair (I have Caucasian hair, other hair types might want to use diffently). I put a little through my hair, wrap in a turban and leave for approx an hr. I follow up with a standard hair washing process (shampooing and conditioning). The results are shiny and soft hair once drying is complete. I have used coconut oil in the past but have found it a bit heavy for my hair. For me this product is an ideal alternative. Be careful pouring, this comes out in large gulps! I am certain I will buy this product again!

Love this. I put it on my scalp during the winter, pre-shower. After massaging it in, let it sit for a few minutes. Then wash it out with shampoo as normal. I find it really helps with any flakes and leaves my hair feeling shiny and bouncy for a few days after.

I can’t rate this oil high enough. It’s very nourishing and perfect for my coloured, dehydrated hair. Great smell and texture with no nasty ingredients.

I think this is the best hair product I've ever used. I've been using it for about 4 years and the condition of my hair has greatly improved. A small amount - size of 5 piece - leaves a natural smooth shiny finish on my thick medium length hair. I towel dry my hair after shampooing, rub the oil between the palms of my hand and then smooth it over/through my hair. And the effect lasts. Not too heavy but beware not to use too much and make your hair look greasy.

This really helps to prevent my itchy scalp. A little goes a long way which makes it very good value. I like the smell too. Very happy with it so far.

Nice rosemary fragrance. Very oily. I use as a prewashing treatment. Not sure it does anything TBH

I use this as a pre-shampoo scalp oil. I've always used hair brushing as a first step to brush up the dandruff and spread my hair oils, but now that my scalp is drier I don't feel it is enough. I also have some itchy scalp that really only goes away for a week or two immediately after I dye my hair. I don't actually know what that's about, but this oil takes care of it. No more itch. I was worried that it would fade my hair dye as I've had trouble with even "color safe" shampoos immediately revealing my grey roots even just a week or so after dying. This oil does not lift the color in any way. It is truly color safe. After brushing my scalp I part it and with the oil poured in one hand use my oil-dipped fingers to spread the oil on my scalp. (A dropper would be WONDERFUL!) After going all over my scalp I then massage it in as though I am "shampooing". This works as a kind of double cleanse for the scalp. Just as cream makeup removers get stuff off your skin that ordinary soap can't, this scalp oil breaks up product that perhaps ordinary shampoo doesn't. I then leave this on for 15 minutes to an hour as I do think the herbal properties are doing good things for my circulation and are strengthening my follicles. I haven't used this long enough to address whether or not it stimulates hair growth, but I wouldn't be surprised. My scalp feels so fresh and clean and it and the hair near the roots LOOKS fresh and soft. It is a bit more effort to do this "pre-cleanse" but I feel that it's worth it both in terms of short term cleanliness and calming of scalp issues and, hopefully, in terms of long term hair health and beauty. I love Weleda's purity, reputation and fair pricing compared to similar items. This is very good value for money.
