Love this product. It is expensive, but it feels really good leaving your skin smooth and ready for the moisturizer. This line was recommended by the lady that does facials.

This company’s products have such beautiful presentation, this comes in a beautiful glass bottle, with a dropper dispenser. You press the top of the dropper and it dispenses the right amount of product for an application. It’s a fairly light serum, not the lightest I’ve used, but it’s also not thick. It absorbs easily after cleansing and toning, and before moisturising. I’m currently only using it in my bedtime routine, because serums often make my skin break out, so i introduce them more slowly. So far I’ve experienced no irritation or breakouts with this one which is a good thing. It’s difficult to judge any positive results after only a few days use, but my initial impressions are good. It smells very good, it’s easy to apply - a little goes a long way, and has caused no negative effects. SHould i have anything further to say regarding my results, i will edit my review.

I usually get my skincare from drugstores so this is a huge splurge for me. From the moment you open the box you can tell it’s hugely different from the cheaper brands. The bottle is heavy, and high quality glass. The size is good especially for the money! This is going to last a long time. You don’t need much because a little goes a long way. It’s a beautiful red bottle and it’s 50ml. There’s a pump on the top that dispenses the serum. The smell is nice, it’s hard to explain but it smells expensive. It’s an opaque white color fairly thick substance. It won’t drip out of your hand. It absorbs within seconds and leaves a long lasting scent which isn’t overpowering or unpleasant. So far I’m seeing a difference in my skin, it looks and feels softer and the color is more even. I’m very happy with this product.

Spain is renowned for incredible skincare and GERMAINE DE CAPUCCINI is a well-established skincare line that's been around for years. My experience with this brand however is limited to two products: this one and another one for eyes, which I really liked. The pricey serum is supposed to be paired with their Supreme Definition Cream ($107), which I don't own, but the company kindly included a sample of it with this product. Price doesn't always equate with results, and after using the serum twice, I agree. The cost made me hold the serum's claims and ingredients to a higher standard, but they turned out to be nothing special on my face. The first time I used the serum was more impressive before I realized I’d applied it over another product already on my face that actually made the difference. The second time, I applied it over bare skin by itself and the results were far less impressive. I expected more notable and/or immediately noticeable results. My skin felt a bit tighter and lifted, but that was due to ingredients like rice starch and siloxane (a waxy filler that temporarily blurs lines and wrinkles) that have a temporary effect. At this price point I expect skincare that is transformative, not illusion. I’m pretty picky about skincare and ingredients. We all should be. This anti-ageing lifting and firming serum both impressed and disappointed me. There are too many chemicals in the formula, some of which create temporary effects or should be avoided, like linalool, silica, and limonene. But this is a European brand with different standards. Overall, it’s a mixed bag for me even after applying the cream sample over the serum. The cream also contained the same ingredients, like siloxane that doesn’t actually change anything, but sure looks good. Other than the smoothing effect, I detected no other results. If that’s all that you want, siloxane products deliver, but don’t change your skin. But if you want transformation and actual improvement of skin, then that requires different ingredients. Once I washed my face, the combined effects of $268 of products washed down the drain. Also, I almost never advocate fragrance in a skincare product because of allergies and sensitive skin, but the light fragrance in the serum didn’t bother me at all and the cream contains no fragrance. The truth is that many products achieve the same results as this pairing, but not at the same price. I’ll use the serum until it’s gone, but not reorder. I do love the eye cream (separate review) and won’t base my final impression of this skincare line on this facial duo alone. Based on my love of the eye cream, this line deserves re-evaluation and further consideration of other products in the line. I really liked the feel of the products, the lack of fragrance-related issues, but not some of the ingredients and the temporary results for the price. If the illusion of temporary smoothing is your goal, this serum/cream duo will achieve that but not as well as others and at a higher price.

This is an excellent serum, it’s very luxurious! It goes on smooth and absorbs extremely well, it’s not greasy at all, it’s lightweight but moisturizing, my face felt great afterward, there wasn’t a tacky feel or grip left on my skin. The smell reminds me of Daisy or similar, it’s not exact but it’s the closest for me to describe the scent. I typically don’t care for fragrance in my serums and moisturizers but this has a fresh, clean and lovely scent that I enjoy! I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive but this didn’t irritate my skin at all. I definitely recommend trying it, this stuff feels amazing and I’m hoping for amazing results!
