Note that this is NOT a "tape" per-se in that it has no adhesive function; you need to use a means of securing it to the thing you wrap (e.g. stainless-steel tiewraps.) It is intended for high-heat applications and does a MUCH better job than fiberglass products but since it is a wrap rather than a sleeve securing it is up to you.You have to wonder why the home and similar stores don't carry this sort of thing, but they don't. If you need something that can take high heat, will not offgas (and potentially poison you!) and provides good heat isolation this stuff will do the job.

This product worked as stated.

By the way, it is 25 feet long. Used it for my generator sound box as part of the insulation going thru the box material. Exhaust temp was over 700F and the layer after the insulation was about 180F. Great product. Used 6" venting and squeezed it down to about 5" internally and surrounded it by 6" venting through the framing material. The compressed 6" venting held the fabric in place and the external 6" venting allowed it the go through the material without overheating it.

Used it to cover up riveted cut repairs made on body and it sealed it perfectly.

Despite having tape in the name, this is solely an insulating wrap. It has no ability to hold itself in place, there is no adhesive present. That needs to be way more obvoius, because most folks who buy something called tape expect it to be, well, TAPE.
