Installation is doable
The kit is great. The battery seems legit. It does not have a fake wrapper around it that bogus Li batteries have. I'll update if I find the battery to degrade. Recommendation: Watch the recommended Youtube video for the G7 battery replacement. I'll now describe my big error to avoid. After following the procedure in the video and replacing all the parts, to my disappointment when I powered on the phone, the screen remained dark. The small led at the top lit up and it vibrated but the screen was dark. I had no idea what I had done wrong. I decided to plug the phone into the Android Auto port in my car just for fun and to my surprise Google maps appeared. That told me that the problem was likely just the G7 screen and probably some contacts were not touching. But where should I look for the screen contacts? I recalled there also was a Youtube video that stripped down the G7 completely. I watched the video and very briefly it referenced a ribbon connector for the screen. Sure enough I took the G7 apart again (all 14 screws) and that screen ribbon connector had been dislodged when I had popped out the charger shell. I snapped that connector back in (or so I thought). I put it all back together confident that now it would work. However when I powered it on, still no screen activity. I was ready to quit when I decided I would open it up one more time, remove and reconnect all the ribbon connectors that I had touched and make sure everything was firmly in place. My confidence level was not very high when for the third time I powered up the phone. To my great surprise, this time it came to life and everything works perfectly. Btw I am in my late 70s and I am not threatened by technology. So just be patient and unlike me make sure ALL connectors are tight, even those that you did not purposely disconnect. You can do it.

Grandma fixes phone.
First of all, the battery works great. It is as good as new. I'm very happy with it. Holds a charge, charges fast, all good. For the installation, I read many other reviews and got a lot of good suggestions. I ordered B7000 adhesive as another reviewer suggested. I watched a you tube video... very helpful. Installation: Just pack your patience. Don't rush. Be gentle. Follow instructions step by step. I thought the included directions were perfectly fine, although some reviewers did not think they were adequate. I'm 68. I was really proud of myself for accomplishing this. The way I looked at it, it was worth gambling the cost of the battery versus buying a new phone. Duhhh! Instructions say you have to go through several battery charges for it to get to where the phone can hold a full charge. So maybe the first 4 or 5 times, the battery depleted quickly. Now it works great. Fully charges and stays fully charged for a normal amount of time. I can't say a certain number of hours because it depends on your usage, but it's like the phone was when it was new. Oh, also the battery doesn't say LG like the one you take out of the phone. It has Asian writing on the new battery so it's not exactly the same battery you get with phone, but like I said, it works great.

Be comfortable working on small electronics before buying.
the kit has (almost) everything you need to install a new battery into your phone. The kit does NOT come with glue to re-glue the case together due to shipping restrictions with flammable glue and batteries in the same package. I found that I really didn't need new glue since the phone case stays together well enough with the old glue and it's in an impact case anyway. It comes with ALMOST all the tools you'll need to get your old battery out and install the new one. I found that a good set of tweezers and a plastic spatula or wood tongue depressor came in handy when prying parts out. Especially the battery itself since it's glued inside the phone. There isn't much room for error here. You'll need a good set of magnifiers like maximum magnification readers or a hobby magnifying glass. Some Isopropyl alcohol and a small dropper will help you greatly here getting the battery out by dissolving some of the glue prior to prying it out. Above all, take your time, go slow and think twice about prying against something that looks important. It is important. You don't want to damage something because the a new battery will bring your dead phone back to life again. It's WELL worth the money and time to replace the battery rather than getting ANOTHER new phone.

Good enough (if not great) bettery replacement
I'm on my second round of these batteries. Installation is manageable, just watch a YT video on how to break the phone down (it ain't the G5, that's for sure) and mind the ribbon cables. Unfortunately, the first battery only lasted 20 months, which seems off given that the OEM battery in mine lasted from 2018 to 2024 but hey.... you take what you can get restoring old phones. The LG G7 is still a wonderful phone and I'm glad to be able to get spare batteries at all, real shame LG got outa the game.

Worked for 2 weeks, No longer hold the charge!
Was excited when we got this new battery, the instruction was a great help for quick replacement and installation. And the phone started working like new again..... BUT, after 2 weeks, now it won't hold the charge! No matter which charger we used (which worked on our other 2 phones and charged with no problem), it wouldn't hold any more charge passed 59%...!!!!! Quite disappointed now. Will return it back to Amazon. One thing though, it would be a great help if it would include glue to close the phone back-cover back in place. Or, give some extra of that double-sided tape which would work fine too.
