My hair is long down to the mid back, thin (but a lot of it), and naturally curly (but more just wavy as I age) and prone to frizz horribly - all the time - but mostly in Summer heat and humidity. It also tangles constantly, yet I refuse to chop it all off. Also, I am Caucasian. Of all the probably hundreds of conditioners I've used over many years, this one beats them all. I'm not joking or embellishing one bit. I have a stockpile of a Kerastase pre-shampoo conditioner that I always used AFTER shampooing - that worked well, but not as well as this by pH Laboratories. The Kerastase product was in their Therapiste line, but it's been discontinued, so I bought what I could find left, and was searching and praying to find something that could come close. The fact is, 90% of conditioners and masks just coat my hair and don't seem to really penetrate the shaft. The Kerastase did a good enough job, but this one is a whole other level! I don't even need to let this sit on my hair like a traditional mask, I comb it through for maybe a minute or two and it's detangled. Wow. It's simply miraculous. And just as miraculous is that it stays soft and detangled for at least a few days (without washing in those few days- just rinsing down in the shower). This may be easy for some with better hair than mine to find in a conditioner or mask, but not me. Even with the very good Kerastase conditioner, it would be softer and ok for maybe one whole day...but 3 days+ ??? No. Never has anything made my hair THIS soft and tangle free. I'm sorry this description/review is so long but if anyone reading this has hair anything like mine, you'll know how hard it is to find not only a "good enough" product - let alone a FABULOUS product. ***I know it's pricey but no more than Kerastase and works better AND I think there is a smaller 2 ounce size in this one available to try for sale here on Amazon. ***And I was not paid or given anything to write this. I am a regular consumer who stumbled upon this and the other pH Laboratories products and honestly love the others I've tried also. ***pH Laboratories also has this "pure repair" in a shampoo that is as fabulous as this. The two combined are just heavenly. ***I've also tried the pH Laboratories shine mist in a pump for styling and it's perfect for when I want to run a flat iron through my hair. (No hold power like a gel or hairspray) it's just a shine spray with probably an oil base. ***I have also tried the "smoothing" shampoo and conditioner and the "moisturizing" line but both are a bit heavy and like many products just seem to stay or coat my hair but not penetrate my hair. ***Finally, I continue to say best for "MY" Hair because we are all different with our own unique chemistry and hair type. But again, if you have hair anything like mine, I think you will think you hit the lottery if you try this. This pH Laboratories seems to be an obscure, Italian brand that I pray continues. I'm so thankful Amazon offers these brands and that I found "the one". In case it isn't clear...I'm seriously in love!

This mask is a must have for anyone struggling with breaking hair, or even anyone who wants smoother locks. I felt like I just left the salon. I have tried many other kinds of masks, and I even use a special conditioner for breakage. This has been the absolute best. 10/10 recommend.

I use this product on my wavy, frizzy hair. Leave in about 5 minutes after shampooing, then rinse. Sometimes I’ll put just a little on especially dry hair areas without rinsing it out.

Expensive

This here repair mask is priced quite expensive ($46) for a 6.7 ounce bottle. Just like any other at home hair repair treatment, it will take a few uses to see noticeable results. Depending on the length of the hair, it may only last a few uses. I didn’t notice any results after first use but after second use, my thick hair did feel softer and a bit more moisturized. It is important to ensure to leave it on for a little while if using in the shower. But I prefer to apply to damp hair before shower and leave it for a bit longer to maximize results.
