Amazingly realistic!! Very thick and high quality.
Y'all...this stuff is amazing! I ordered 3 different types of shiplap wallpaper on Amazon and this was hands down the top winner for reasons I will go into below. So, I have wanted to do something with the sheet rock on the back of my kitchen island for some time. I have 2 boys and whenever they sit at the island they kick the wall and leave scuff marks and it just looks so bad. I wanted to do bead board or ship lap or something but was dreading all of the work that entailed. Enter......shiplap peel & stick wallpaper!! This wallpaper was the 3rd and final type I tried. I actually did my entire island in another shiplap paper and then once this type got delivered and I saw the difference in quality, I ripped it off and redid it. So the main difference between this paper and others I tried is that it is so heavy duty and thick. It is far more sturdy than the others. Some other types got completely ruined if it stuck to itself. This happened a couple of times and I just peeled it off itself and it did not ruin the paper. Second, it just looks so much more realistic. The surface of the wallpaper is textured and has the actual wood grain pattern and texture to it. So that makes it so much better looking. The other thing that makes this roll different is that it hangs vertically and not horizontally. At 1st I thought that did not really make sense since shiplap boards are horizontal. But it was so much easier to line up and so much more manageable to hang in short vertical strips than in long horizontal straps. It took me one roll and about an hour to do the island. The boards repeat patterns every 3 boards, so there was a little waste making sure the pattern stayed consistent. But 1 roll was still enough . Finally, the only thing I did not like about this paper is that the lines in between the the boards are extremely light. So light in fact that from afar you can hardly even tell they are there. So I easily remedied that by using a fine point Sharpie and a yard stick to re draw the lines a little bit darker on each of the boards. It made a big difference and looks a lot better and no one could even tell. I love how the island turned out and I have gotten so many compliments!

Quality wallpaper, difficult to install solo
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this wallpaper looks - the texture and details of the “shiplap” are really lovely and I love how it brightened my room compared to the original wood panel wall. That being said, this was my first time installing wallpaper of any sort and it was HARD. This is not a one-person job, but I tackled it as such. When you buy this product, don’t forget that you will also need a smoother, a level, a utility knife (or similar blade), and a lot of time and patience. Walls are not level but your wallpaper needs to be, and that’s what made this installation tricky for me. I found the first couple panels the easiest to install - they were level and I was able to easily align the pattern. However, come the fourth panel, something went awry. Fortunately this paper is forgiving - you can peel and reposition easily - but with each peel, the paper stretches some. Ultimately I had to reposition the fourth panel no fewer than 5 times and was not able to align the pattern of this panel with the rest because of stretch the paper acquired after so many of my screw ups. Also, with each reposition, the air bubbles become increasingly hard to smooth out so beware. My wall is as simple as they come - a rectangle with one outlet - and it took me about 4-5 hours to install solo. It has a ton of mistakes, many that will be easily covered with shelving and furniture placement, but overall the paper looks good from a distance. In short, I’m satisfied with the product but had I known how tricky peel-and-stick is to install, I would’ve probably splurged on real shiplap because it’d be easier to install 😅

Love, love, LOVE!
OK. First off, I LOVE this wallpaper! It really added just what I needed to my home. I like it SO much, I haven't hung any decorative features on my wall yet. I just keep staring.at.the.paper! That being said, it's only been a few days, so I can't say anything to the adhesion; just that I PRAY it will stay, because I'm so in love! As to it looking real. Hmmmm....maybe. The eye is tricked, for sure, and the paper is slightly textured, so it's really forgiving if you make a mistake. Now...was it easy breezy to hang? No. Not really. I can hang some wallpaper! But wallpaper is messy to hang. This isn't. So the fact that it's far less messy, less prep, less materials, less expensive, and FAR less effort to remove, I'll put it above wallpaper, but it doesn't "slide" into place like wallpaper. You have to remove and readjust, remove and readjust, remove and readjust...you get the picture. Not easy if you're a perfectionist. The pattern was hard for me to line up. I think when I started, my first sheet wasn't plumb. I tried to correct that, and I got a bit off track, but like I said, the wallpaper is forgiving to the eye. Now...the pattern. If you heed any piece of advice from reading reviews, read this one: The pattern has a three board repeat. At first, I wanted to line up the like boards, but I found that to look odd, and it really didn't match. I found that if I matched one board down each time, the pattern matched and looked great. Let me put that in simpler terms: If you numbered the 3 boards in the pattern, with the first board being 1, then next board being 2, and the last 3, then you should to hang your paper with the first board board on top (1 2,3,) Your next piece should start with the board 2 pattern and your 3rd piece should begin with the board 3 pattern. Then you will start again with board 1. I hope that made sense! Anyway, I think you can see it in the picture. Also, I used twice as much as I thought I was going to use. I DID lose two entire sheets due to my error. I'm sure you'll make errors too, so purchase WAY more than you need. It's easier to return an unopened roll, than to try and get a color match. BTW...no problems here with the color match between rolls. They were all the same lot and all matched. So if you're considering this, just do it! It won't break the bank, and it's easy to remove if you don't like it.

This wallpaper is slightly textured which gives it that real wood look. The white hues really brightened up my bathroom and it was easy to find a complimentary paint colour (it has grey/brown undertones). It was also easy to use, cut, and apply.

This is a great product. The paper is quite thick and substantial. Easy to apply and it looks great!

This is a good product. My only complaint is that the pattern should run on the length... .the longest part of the wallpaper but it runs on the width. So for the horizontal ship lap look, you need to attach several pieces together to get one long board look. I hope this makes sense. Its very light in color and you do see the wood grain. Very realistic looking.

I was SO happy with this at first, it looked great and was very easy to use. It’s been only 3 weeks and not only has the vinyl shrunk and left gaps or uneven seams, it’s peeling and bubbling all over. I’m so dissapointed.

I love this product! I have used it on all of the closet doors in our home. I find it easier to cut It in into smaller pieces for installation. Easy to peel off and reapply if it’s not perfectly straight.
