I was told that this is one of the best probiotics by my doctors when I developed a C-Diff infection. Don't think for a moment that probiotics are a just a fad. They put back into your system the good stuff that C-Diff kills. I have been working on this problem for nearly 8 months and had it not been for probiotics in addition to the antibiotics used to kill the C-Diff bacteria well, I don't want to think of the consequences. They are not cheap, but when it comes to this affliction, price is no object.

This probiotic was recommended to me by my doctor. I was a bit skeptical, because I had tried other probiotics before and I didn’t really notice a big difference in my health. This probiotic actually helped me a lot. I’d had some digestive issues (gas, constipation) and this fixed those completely. Florastar is much cheaper if ordered on Amazon. It's the best probiotic and was prescribed by my doctor although it's over the counter now. My pharmacy charged $71 per bottle. If you buy 4 bottles on Amazon then each bottle is about $28. Once you have to take probiotics you should take them for the rest of your life (my opinion). (I had C-Diff)

I've been fighting MRSA and other bugs while trying to get a stage IV pressure wound to heal. In and out of the hospital on and off IV antibiotics. My doctor prescribed Florator and they began giving it to me during my last nursing home stay. Upon coming home he still wanted me to take it. It's really expensive, but I think it's worth it. I'm now on oral antibiotics but not yet out of the woods as far as infections, so I still take this twice a day. I think it has helped to keep diarrhea away. It can also be taken WITH antibiotics. According to the instructions included with the Florastor there is no need to wait 2 hours after taking antibiotics to take the Florastor. This makes things a whole lot easier.

It is difficult to know if probiotics perform as intended. Most recently medical professionals have brought forth the importance of the gut microbiome. Apparently a healthy microbiome can facilitate good overall health. It has even been linked to mental health. There are studies in which effective doses of probiotics can positively impact both depression and anxiety. Floraster is one of the few brands that has been the subject of a few research studies so it has some cred compared to some of the other products on the market.
