Maybelline New York Color Sensational Matte Lip Liner, Magtte Finish ( Rose 05, 0.04 Ounce)

I truly LOVE this shade. I WILL HIGHLY recommend Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner. My pencil shade is Velvet Beige. A lip pencil is used to outline and contour your lips with a soft and a creamy texture. How to use? Just apply the colour of your pencil all over lips as a base for your favourite lipstick shade or simply use to line the lips. Pencils have a number of other uses:- For outlining your lips. For contouring lips. For creating a more natural looking finish. Even replacing lipstick altogether. Pros- Good product. Suitable for daily wear. No need to sharpen it very often. Gives medium perfection. Blends very well. Good for outlining your pout. Very pigmented. A lip liner that goes with number of lipstick shades(nude, pink, magenta,coffee,purple etc). Soft and creamy texture. Shimmery touch- which I usually love about this pencil. Slight Matte finish. Last long. Sets in few seconds. Cons:-Less shades available. Can be applied alone without a lipstick. Apply a lipstick before or after applying lip liner for a more finish look. Suits every skin tone. Even with its cons I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! So I was looking for a nice natural shade lip liner and came across maybelline color sensational lip liner in velvet beige 630. The application is pretty smooth and it can also be used as a lip shade without having to apply a coat of lipstick on it. It gives a pretty natural pinkish tinge with a very slight sparkle effect( as seen in the attached pic). Top it with any nude / natural pink lip shade ( I used Revlon Rosy Nude ) and it gives a beautiful natural pinkness perfect for day time / office look.

I have bought three lip liners......338 Midnight Plum, which is dark plum shade glides smoothly & is thick....630 Velvet Beige is brown, thick & smooth....150 Stellar Pink with little shine, bit mauve pink, thin in application & smooth. I am glad that I always save my money on Amazon as there is 24×7 sale plus authentic cosmetics from some reliable sellers. Uploaded some pics in day light with sunlight and without sunlight : Top left is Velvet Beige, top right is Stellar Pink & the bottom is Midnight Plum.

I read the reviews and thought this might be a good every day 'Kylie Jenner -ish" nude. Boy was I wrong. PROS 1.price point 2. smoothly sharpened. 3. goes on fairly creamy. CONS 1.Maybe its just my lips because I've tried a darker shade (plum) which seemed to have decent color pay off, but Velvet beige didn't cover the darker areas of my lips. The color was barely visible. This shouldn't be a problem if you have lighter lips. 2. Highlights every crease of your lips ! 3. Drying 4. This is NOT matte! (this might partially be my fault for not researching the color first) 5. Easily comes off especially in the corners of your mouth. Forget about getting through a meal with this. Over all this lip pencil is a no go. I wouldn't recommend get it. You get what you pay for.

Of all the lip liners I have ever used, including those of lakme and faces, this is the creamiest and smoothest. I was so excited reading the reviews here,I bought two shades- Beige and hollywood red. Worth every penny. I guess, you don't even need a lipstick or color after you have applied this,it is well pigmented and if you put on coats,you'll get the darkest shade of the liner. Just gel/layer it with any nude gloss or even Vaseline and you're good to go. I haven't tested it's stay-on power yet but keep it handy and a few touch ups might keep you flaunting your pouts all day long.

The color is the prettiest soft mauvy beige and for the price, its pretty good. Its very light and has a creamy textures, glides on smoothly without tugging. I've used Lakme 9 to 5 lip liner in brick rose and though its a pretty warm nudy brown shade, and for the price, would've expected better texture. Its pretty drying. In comparison, the maybelline lip liner has fared better on all points- texture, color and pricing.

Shade is fine..But texture of shade is not that great it has more of shimmer, which changes all lipsticks shades.

Gud one

Applies smoothly and easily and is a great nude base colour for many lipsticks. Sometimes I just wear it on its own with a balm on top and I'm good to go.
