High quality gift
It was as expected a quality watch at a price that reflects the best of the makers previous and present designs. I would really anyone consider one for themselves or a family member this is the one to buy.

Sleek and very comfortable
Very comfortable and attractive, a pleasure to wear. The engineering of the watch is to a very high standard, as can be seen in pics; the watch fits perfectly around my wrist (which is roughly 6-6.5inch) so although it's classed as a mans, it fits me perfectly (I'm a woman) feels weighty, well made but not heavy, the bracelet is light, but again very comfortable, I have seen reviews complaining about the bracelet, but I'm very happy with it. It's a beautiful watch, I love it ! For this price I doubt there's better. It looks more expensive than what I paid, no wonder it is so popular and highly revered. I reccomend.

Great Watch for the Money
Watch is sleek with a very versatile design and the movement is pretty good for the money. Definetely a great overall watch that i'd reccommend to anyone. Only downside is the bracelet is where Seiko saves the money so although the case is great the bracelet doesn't feel as premium (To be fair for the price of the watch its still a great deal).

Not as automatic as expected
immediate dispatch by supplier, well presented...but fell below expectations of an automatic watch. You have to start by "movement for 30sec." Once off the wrist, tends to stop after two hours standing time, strap very small, best described as a unisex watch..not as expected from Seiko

It’s a great seiko
I can afford far more expensive watches but why? This is my second cheap seiko 5, the other has the silver dial with blunt hands this black with pointed hands it looks 10 times the price other reviews dissed the strap but I really like it, I removed a link and it’s perfect I’m probably an idiot my other watch is a Vostok diver and I really like that as well but this seiko is a great watch.

Beautiful watch at a decent price
EDIT: 1 year later Having used this watch for a year there are somethings that I still love, namely the minimalist nature, the sleek design and it's clarity. It has a problem, which for me is quite major. Every day the watch gains approximately a minute and so by the end of the week it's like 7-10 mins ahead. This is problematic and as you shouldn't adjust the time from about 9pm-3am to prevent damage, I am annoyed at having to set the time every day or every few days. This was also my first automatic watch and now that I have purchased a few to go with different outfits, I have realised another problem. This is more a me issue, than a watch issue. The watch runs on human movement, so if it is left lying around it will stop running. To overcome this you can purchase a watch winder. --------------- Having used a Withings hybrid watch for 5 years, I got a pixel watch 3 when it came out. The watch was great but I have realised I do not like smart watches. They're too intrusive. So I started looking for analogue watches instead. And they are expensive. I like minimalist designs that don't need charging and being automatic this is great. I do not like metal bracelet bands and so removed that and replaced it with the silicone bands from my Withings Steel HR. Given my small wrists this is a perfect size and disappears on your wrist in terms of its weight. Sometimes I even forget I am wearing it. In the 4 or so days I've used it, I've had no issues with the time, the automatic movement has been fantastic.
