Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Perfect for any Beauty and the Beast fan - This book is kind of like a behind the scenes of Belle's life in the enchanted castle. It has all of the original characters with some new ones along the way too. It has parts from both the 1991 and 2017 movies, which makes it so much more enjoyable. I bought this book because Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney movie, I was so excited to read it and I was not disappointed. The way it was written had me hooked, it has short chapters and makes you want to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Whilst reading this book I laughed, cried and at times I felt scared for Belle, which shows that Jennifer Donnelly writes in a way that really connects with her readers. It's lovely to have a more in-depth look into what life would have been like for Belle and all the other characters. I would recommend that everyone who enjoyed the movies read this book, to be honest I think everyone should read it because it's just that good. Review: Love - Very much enjoyed this book... interesting tale set during the time of movie. It's quite exciting and gets creepy. ..but has lots castle character time too which was one of the best things. Love the cover

Magical story within a story
This is a magical book, with a beautiful cover, that will appeal to Beauty and the Beast fans of all ages. Jennifer Donnelly has brought to life the well- loved story with the cursed castle, enchantments and wonderfully quirky characters and given it her own twist. Here Belle is enticed into the pages of an enchanted book named Nevermore, planted in the castle library. Nevermore is a place where her deepest desires will come true, but things are not always what they seem. This author is able to turn her hand to both adult and children’s stories and my children enjoy her books as much as I do. This story is cleverly woven and filled with imagination. I loved her vivid new characters (and creatures) especially the sisters Love and Death who are able to observe the castle through an enchanted mirror. I would really love to see this made into a Disney animation or film. A treat for anyone who likes fairy-tales and a little bit of magic.

This is one of the best books I have read in a while
This is one of the best books I have read in a while. It grips you at page one and it’s one of those books that you can almost see the characters and their expressions. The whole family has read it including my 9yr old and 15 yr old and we all loved it. I highly recommend this book to all Disney fans of all ages.

📚 So I just finished reading Lost in a Book, and it was so good! 💛 It's definitely a great story for all Beauty and the Beast fans. You almost feel like you're being part of the story together with Belle while reading it. The concept that Belle's going inside a magical book once in a while and befriending its characters and living a wonderful life is brilliant. But she also learns that even if life is difficult sometimes, you must always live your life and write your own story. It's a great message, and the book also shows you that life isn't always greener on the other side. And that love always wins. They also gave it a bit of fantasy flair since Love and Death are involved as well, but it still feels like a fairytale. It also does a great job keeping you connected to the movie with small details such as Belle remembering stuff from her old life and keeping the characters in the castle present. Again, Belle is going a little bit back and forth to the book, so you feel somewhat grounded to the story's reality. And also the first like 50 pages does kinda introduce you to the story before the part with her finding the book actually starts; it helps you getting into the timeline that the story take place and you kinda gets to understand what's going on in Belle's head at that time. And since this book was written for the 2017 live action version of Beauty and the Beast, it definitely has a bit of that attitude to it, but at the same time it feels like the author wanted to pay some tribute to the original, because the library scene here defenitely feels more like the animated version, which I appreciate. Overall, I had a great experience reading this book. I always love when they make stories with Beauty and the Beast that take place during that time in the movie when they're getting to know each other. It's always interesting to watch, or in this case, read, and I think the author managed to create a very interesting and charming story. A magical Disney story to keep the middle grade reader engaged, but even adults, of course. Highly recommend! 🥀

Very light, fun read. The book cover is beautifully done. The story actually does the original story justice! Belle learns that LOVE not DEATH will win when she encounters "Nevermore".

Making way through this book, and I recommend it. It's a different tale within the world of 'Beauty and the Beast' and the fact that you get lost in the book while reading about Belle getting lost in a book is a funny to realise indeed.
