It's a great and quick meal, just a splash of vinegar makes it perfect. I've been buying this for many years. It's easy to make and pretty darn tasty!

Alessi makes the best dried soups. One tip if you wish to make them a bit heavier: Use less water than suggested. And at some point, I wish ALESSI would use LESS SALT!

Oh. My. GOSH! When I was a kid, my grandmother - straight off the boat from Sicily - always made pasta con lenticchie for us. It's been over twenty years since she's passed and over thirty years since I've had pasta con lenticchie, but this.... this is amazing! It tastes just like I remember hers always tasting. Even better yet, everything is included in the package. This is literally a "just add water" ready-to-eat meal. Another added bonus is that the Best Buy date on these is well over a year in the future. With it's superb nutritional value, and ever so yummy taste... you can stock up now and ride out Armageddon in Sicilian style! If you had pasta con lenticchie as a child, this will bring back memories. If you have never had pasta con lenticchie, you do not know what you are missing out on! I am not much on "vegetarian" food stuffs, but... I cannot recommend this enough!

The Alessi soups are a staple in my house. They taste great and are easily thickened with a small amount of potato flakes, for those who prefer a thicker soup. A drizzle of EVOO and a bit of freshly ground black pepper and it’s a delicious quick meal.

Excellent soup that's easy to make. I add 1 tablespoon of olive oil as the packet directions suggest along with a 1/4 cup of chopped cooked onions and 1/2 lb of sliced kielbasa or smoked sausage. Serve it with a salad and baked baguette. Just double all the extra ingredients if you make a double batch. Any leftovers are gone the next day. Highly recommend.
