Review: Definitely not just a practice cymbal! - Hi everyone! I bought this splash cymbal to replace an old, unbranded 8" splash that I was given some time ago that just doesnt have the right sound for me. I'm glad I did to say the least! Quality - This splash is well built and the lathed finish gives it a nice, almost rustic look. After around 6 hours of use so far it shows no signs of fatigue, and no stick marks are present although I do not use wooden sticks so this is probably a contributing factor. I will try to update this review in a few weeks time once I have used this cymbal more, but for now I do not believe there are going to be any problems for a long time! Sound - I love the sound of this splash, from the small yet still noticable 'ting' when you strike it to the long but not too long sustained 'splash' sound this cymbal does just what you would expect it to do. As an effects cymbal this really is a bargain, especially if you're looking for that something extra to add to your kit. I find that simply by throwing it in between rolls on the snare or long pieces of cymbal work it helps to break up the monotomy of the piece. Uses - I would definitely disagree with the statement of another review that this is not a gigging cymbal. I would have no hesiation in using it during a gig, and will probably do so in the near future! I would say that perhaps it is not quite loud enough if you are planning on using it on an un-mic'd kit in a large venue, but for a mic'd kit or a small venue it would be more than perfect! If you have any questions please do not hesiate to ask! Review: Great Product - A great addition to my kit

crashing around!
Great bit of kit, delivered on time and with no fuss. Still learning to use my accumalated kit, so really a novice opinion, the sound is nice and crisp. Ideal for the money I paid for it.

Practice only!!!
Firstly, I must express that I am not a professional drummer nor am I a novice. I consider myself somewhere in between. Over the years i have had many drum kits and many different accessories. So I know a little bit about kits and cymbals. I should had known better when purchasing cheap cymbals. This is exactly what this is. Cheap and nasty. The only reason i am keeping this and not returning is because it has its uses as just a practice cymbal. This is not a gigging or recording piece of kit. If you want a decent cymbal then you must spend the money. There are a few cheap cymbals around that sound pretty good but this is not one of those. Save your money and buy a proper splash cymbal unless your happy to use it for just practicing!!!!

Splash cymbal review
A good, solid piece of kit that has expanded my drum setup. As an part time musician, I like to have a varity of cymbals which help expand my sound whilst performing.
