I can’t believe there are only 2 Asian dolls on Amazon. Where is the representation? There was only this one and another one. I went with this one due to it being “huggable” for my 2 year old grandchild. The doll’s chest & stomach is stuffed so the doll is soft when hugged. The head, arms, and legs are plastic. The hair is painted onto the head so there isn’t realistic hair. The clothing does come off if you want to replace. It’s not suitable to be bathed with due to the stuffing, but it’s the trade off to have a soft, huggable doll. The doll size is also larger than the small dolls you see selling at Walmart or Target. I would say this doll is about the size of a 6 month old baby (not newborn size). Even for its larger size, my 2 year grandchild loves it and carries it around very easily (it is light weight). A bottle and a pacifier comes with the doll which both fit perfectly in the doll’s mouth. You do have to push it into the mouth for it to stay in place. The milk in the bottle when turned upside down to feed, is designed to “go down” as if the baby drank it all. When you sit it upright, the milk fills back up. My grandchild got a kick out of it as this seemed quite realistic. I could see this being one of my grandchild’s favorite doll for a long time.

This doll will make almost anybody happy. It is the perfect blend of affordability, lifelike features, lifelike size, adorable appearance, cuddle-factor, and poseability. The absolute only negative I can find is that it is very light-weight. An extra pound or two of weight would really elevate this doll to perfection, but as-is, it is still completely worth buying either for a child or for an adult that would like a therapy baby. This doll has many advantages as a therapy baby over a reborn doll: it is more poseable, it is more durable, it is more affordable, and it is washable. And as a child's doll, you truly can't beat it- this baby will delight and amaze a child. Plus, the best part is this doll wears newborn and 0-3 month clothing, so you can pick out clothing in the baby section instead of having to buy expensive doll-sized threads. Additionally, being baby-sized means that this doll looks right at home in baby equipment too, such as bouncers, high chairs, and cribs... so you can purchase more affordable options for these things in baby sales instead of having to buy doll-specific ones. I can not say enough nice things about this doll. You'll fall in love. Edit: So, I loved this baby so much I came back and bought quite a few more. I got the other AA baby, one of the hispanic babies, and then the Asian baby. I am equally impressed with all of them except the Asian baby. My enjoyment of these babies has a lot to do with how they feel to hold. They are soft, pillow-like, and their body fabric warms as you hold them from your body heat, making them feel so cuddly and comforting. BUT the Asian baby came with a different fabric body. Instead of being soft pillow-like, it has a somewhat plastic feel to the fabric body. I don't enjoy holding that baby. You can feel the plastic-ness through clothing and it is very noticeable. I am unsure if this is something that will be true for all the babies that have the white colored fabric body (the Asian baby and the Caucasian babies), or if it is just the Asian baby, but if I order a Caucasian baby and it feels the same, I will update this review.

I bought this doll as I do crochet projects and I needed a life size infant to model and gage my items. I didn't want to spend much money I was more interested in the size of the doll. I was blown away when I got it, wow it was so life like and it was so perfect from the size of the head to the size and length of the body to mimic a newborn. I am super duper happy and I almost want to go get all the different dolls they have so I can have a whole nursery of them. I would prefer plastic arms and legs to the cloth ones just for display purposes but I put a long sleeve shirt and new born tights on it and it was perfect. I can't tell you how in love I am with this doll. I had it laying on a chair and my son came in and thought it was a real baby becuase at first glance it looks so real. It is just perfect. For any little child wanting a real baby or for that parent teaching skills to a child getting a new baby brother or sister this would be perfect. Also for that dementia patient who would benefit from caring for a baby. Over all this will be perfect for anyone. did I mention how much I love this baby? my husband thought I was crazy ooing and awing all over this little doll and dressing it up. Thank you so much JC toys, this doll is so detailed and amazing. by the way, I know this was a boy baby (i loved his expression more than the girl) but I dressed it up in girl cloths anyway. Hoping it doesn't give him gender issues when he grows up. LOL

I ordered this doll for a four-year old girl birthday gift after reading many reviews on this and other dolls. I knew the eyes were fixed when purchasing, and I think that was a good choice as a lazy-eyed doll is worse than one that stares all of the time. The expression on the doll we received is very cute, and my four-year old promptly became a mommy. This doll goes everywhere with her now, and she loves dressing it, putting it to bed, feeding it, etc. She did tell me, though, that another doll would a good thing to have, so that when her 1-year old brother steals this one, she'd still have one to play with! Yes, the 22-month old boy LOVES her baby doll as well! We might have to get another for his birthday... I chose this doll over others for durability, cuteness, and the fact that it can wear newborn clothes! Based on what I've seen so far is that we're three for three. We went and picked out several newborn-sized outfits at a local store that sells used children's clothing (no high-prices for doll clothes here). I like that the hair is actually molded into the shape of the baby's head- nothing to mess up or rub off. The face has a very cute expression. The body is soft and light-weight- easy for a four-year old to carry (or a one-year old to steal). The hands/arms and feet/legs are solid only partway up, which makes it look like it's got leggings/long sleeves. My daughter prefers to dress her baby in long sleeves and pants so that just her feet and hands show. We haven't tried socks or booties. The only downside I have observed thus far (one week of lovin') is that the pacifier isn't a great fit in the mouth, and so there is some frustration at times trying to get it to stay in. Oh well... I otherwise HIGHLY recommend this doll. (My nine-year old daughter wants one now, too...) Two months later update: Newborn socks fit perfectly, and we've purchased a second doll for our 2-year old's birthday, because he was frequently making off with big sis's doll! Again- love this doll for its size. The second one has the same face as the first, but no problem because I took it out of the box and re-dressed it in a newborn outfit I picked up at a used kids' clothing store. We've had a few people comment on the first doll- "Oh, I almost thought that was a real baby!" Needless to say, if we leave one in the car during an outing, I'm careful where it goes- the last thing we need is a broken window from someone rescuing our "baby." The fabric on the older doll of our two is balling quite a bit- but she's also been undressed and redressed multiple times a day since her arrival at our house! Otherwise, she's holding up quite well. Marks on the head and face from being bumped around during play have come off easily with rubbing alcohol.

I bought this baby for my two year old granddaughter. She loved it! So did her three year old sister, so I ordered another one for her. I would highly recommend this baby doll. Great price and made well!

This baby is life size! I want expecting the size but it’s a good quality baby fool and our daughter loves it! It comes with a few accessories. Her clothing is so cute and the colors are perfect! She doesn’t have a rubber smell either!

This is soooo cute. I can’t wait to gift it to my daughter. Soft and comes with a cute little baby bottle. Great deal for price. The little face details are so cute. I wanted a bigger sturdier baby doll that wasn’t hard plastic and this is perfect! Highly recommend.

This is the largest of the JC Toys La Baby soft-bodied dolls, and she's simply adorable, with crystal clear blue eyes and a very gentle expression. This doll comes dressed in a soft, removable hat and sleeper, and a "magic" baby bottle and pink pacifier are included. The doll I chose is Caucasian; and Hispanic and Asian versions are also available. Lest I forget a really cute detail, her right index finger is extended and can be placed in her mouth.
